This is an Awesome Original California 240Z in Excellent unrestored low mile condition. Great all around first generation classic Z car has been meticulously maintained, and loved by enthusiast owners and it shows. Extensive documentation and service history. Low Vin and Very original unmolested condition with proper up-grades and service to make a dependable, awesome driver makes this one quite collectable. Reliable and fun little Z looks, runs, feels, and drives fantastic. Excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser, show car, or addition to any collection.

Body is extremely straight with no signs of collision damage or rust that I can see. Good quality older repaint still presents nicely with a few niks and blemishes. Nice period patina. Underside is super straight and clean. Period correct slotted wheels and caps with near new tires.

Interior is in excellent shape as well... Seats, Panels, Carpet, Headliner are all excellent. Entire cab has been insulated and is firm and quiet. Dash has nice cap installed. Gauges and electronics work properly, except the clock (of course!).

Rebuilt motor starts, runs, and idles excellent... very responsive. Has the coveted E31 head. Custom exhaust sounds awesome and feels extremely strong. Rebuilt carbs work great. 4 Speed trans shifts smooth through the gears. Redone Suspension feels tight and handles great. Stops straight and sure. Superb driver goes down the road with no wiggles, wobbles, or shakes.

Overall this is a fabulous little classic Z in excellent condition all around... Awesome daily driver or weekend cruiser, or show car. I am a Z collector... this is an excellent one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, original vintage sports car at a great price. Fly in and drive this one home... :)

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.

First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal

Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.

When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.
