RARE BARN FIND/ 1 LADY OWNER/1963 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL/03367 MILES
You are bidding on a OUTSTANDING FIND A 1963 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL. First Iam selling for a friend. Car is sitting in a garage in the middle of 500 Ac and about 1/2 drive away from me one way. I will do my best to describe. I have know this car myself for 40 years. The car did belong to a lady from the day it was new. no children and as far as I know no husband. So that should tell you always taken care of and the back seat looks to have never been sat in. She became ill and the car has not been driven in seven years. When parked it ran fine. I was told a long time ago that she had the block replaced maybe in the 70's with all factory correct block and all original parts returned to the motor. She only drove around the area only and never has left this area. SURVIVOR tells it all. I was shocked when I looked it over to take the pictures. The car is ALL original original to say the least, only part missing inside is the dome light, the interior is UNBLEIVABE, small mark on the side of the seat just from sitting, not a tear, just look at the pictures, the headline is tan and UNBELIVABLE, looks bran new, back seat like I stated looks unused, dash looks outstanding, dash pad no cracks, dimmer switch and Wonder Bar radio control right above it, all the doors inside even the drivers door the only one used is just outstanding. You can see the mileage just unreal. All the chrome looks like it will clean up to excellent or better, the original paint will I think clean up and buff out just find, one small dent to the top back door from were a deer ran into her, hard to find rust, maybe same little on the very bottom but nothing bad at all, car is straight, I did not have the key and could not get into the trunk but Iam sure it is perfect maybe even the original spare. You can see were I poured a little water on the front fender and rubbed it with my hand. 1963 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL ONLY THIS ORIGNAL ONCE, AFTER A WEEK OF CLEANING AND BUFFING YOU WILL HAVE SHOW CAR, SPECIAL CLASS, /SURVIVOR, ALL ORIGNAL. A very low and fair reserve.
Pick up in Keyser Wv, 25 miles form Cumberland MD. WILL HELP TO SHIP ANY WAY I CAN. $500.00 DUE AT CLOSE OF AUCTION, FULL PAYMENT IN 3 DAYS IF YOU SHIP or FULL PAYMENT WHEN YOU PICK IT UP IN CASH. MotorWeek reviews '83 American Motors lineup
Wed, Mar 18 2015The 30th anniversary of American Motors' 1987 sale to Chrysler by Renault is just a few years away. AMC is long dead, but for its latest peek in the archives, MotorWeek winds back the clock to somewhat happier times. Take a look at the entire AMC lineup from 1983, including its models from Jeep and Renault. The Jeeps, and to a lesser extent, the AMC Eagle, enjoy a cult following today, but it's amazing how many of these other vehicles are now practically forgotten. Even the big debut in '83 of the Renault Alliance is largely ignored. Although with a ludicrous amount of body roll and a 55-horsepower 1.4-liter engine, it's probably rightly buried. Google Waymo's self-driving car is a modified Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
Mon, Dec 19 2016For the time being, this is what Google's self-driving car project will look like: FCA is delivering 100 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrids to Google's Waymo self-driving offshoot. According to FCA, the Pacificas are currently being outfitted with Waymo's autonomity equipment, and testing will commence early next year. The setup includes sensors and on-board telematics, and there will be changes made to the vehicle's powertrain and electrics to help it function better as an autonomous vehicle. It's closer to a Jurassic Park style Ford Explorer than something built completely from scratch, but using a minivan platform has helped the project advance rather rapidly. John Krafcik, the CEO of Waymo says that FCA's product development and manufacturing teams have helped them greatly: "FCA's product development and manufacturing teams have been agile partners, enabling us to go from program kickoff to full vehicle assembly in just six months", says Krafcik. In addition to Waymo's test facilities in California, the initial Pacificas have been tried and tested at FCA's proving grounds in Michigan and Arizona. The modifications have been tailored at a joint effort powerhouse in southeastern Michigan. The production Pacifica Hybrid is rated at 84 MPG3 by the EPA. The plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a 3.6-liter Pentastar unit converted to an Atkinson cycle and a 16kWh Lithium-ion battery. Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each.
