YOUR BIDDING ON A 1966 CHRYSLER NEW PORT

IT IS BELIEVED TO HAVE 26,000 ORIGINAL MILES, BUT I CAN NOT VERIFY THOSE MILES TO BE CORRECT. NOW FROM MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE OLD CARS THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT WOULD LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THE LOW MILES ONE THING IS THE INTERIOR ITS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR THE YEAR, THE SEATS HAVE VERY LITTLE DAMAGE THE DASH IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE, THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT, EVEN HAS THE ORIGINAL NEGATIVE CABLE WITH THE CORRECT ENGINE COLOR OVER SPRAY, BUT THATS ONLY AN OPINION.
IT COMES EQUIPPED WITH FACTORY DISC BRAKES AND THEY ARE CONFIRMED BY THE HUB CAPS THAT ARE MARKED DISC BRAKES!  OTHER OPTIONS INCLUDE AIR CONDITIONING. IT HAS A GOOD SET OF TIRES.
OPTIONS INCLUDE:  POWER DISC BRAKES
                              AIR CONDITIONING
                             POWER STEERING
I HAVE THE BUILD SHEET, CERTICARD, OWNERS MANUAL, CLEAR TITLE.

IT HAS RUST BUBBLING MOSTLY WHERE THE TRIM PIECES ARE AROUND THE CAR. SOME RUST BUBBLING ON THE REAR QUARTERS. BUT THE FLOORS, TRUNK AND FRAME ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
THE ENGINE IS THE ORIGINAL 383 4 BARREL CARB SET UP. THE ENGINE HAS A HEAVY KNOCK WHEN YOU TURN IT ON SO SOME ONE WHO IS MECHANICALLY INCLINED CAN PROBABLY FIX IT AND I KNOW SOME OF YOU MOPAR GUYS HAVE A GOOD BIG BLOCK LAYING AROUND SOME WHERE ?

THIS VEHICLE CAN NOT BE DRIVEN IN THE CONDITION IT IS IN IT MUST BE TOWED.
SOLD IN AS IS CONDITION SO PLEASE COME OR SEND SOMEONE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE NOT AFTER?

ALL IN ALL ITS A GOOD CAR TO START WITH FOR A RESTORATION OR A NICE DRIVER?

WINNING BIDDER MUST PAY IN FULL WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING OF VEHICLE.

Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."

Conan releases extended cut of Chrysler's Super Bowl ad

Tue, 04 Feb 2014

Chrysler's latest Super Bowl ad follows in the footsteps of its classic Imported From Detroit spot starring rapper Eminem and Half-Time in America ad starring Clint Eastwood. Featuring Bob Dylan's gravely voice asking, "Is there anything more American... than America?" the spot has been somewhat controversial, thanks to a few lines informing viewers that Germany can brew beer, Switzerland can make watches and Asia can assemble phones. The US, though, will build your car, Dylan tells us. When the ad aired, Shinola-wearing Detroiters simultaneously spit out their Atwater beer over the perceived slight.
Naturally, that controversy has spawned more than a few parodies, one of which comes from Conan O'Brien. Coco expands on the list of things that aren't made in the US, like French water, Danish cheese and Japanese animated, um, adult films. Beyond those examples, there are a number of other things that should be left to countries that aren't the United States. It's a chuckle-worthy parody, so scroll down and have a look, and compare it to the original Super Bowl ad below that.

Dodge not being dropped by Chrysler, CEO reaffirms

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"
Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands.
Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.
