Up for auction is my 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham project car. I bought this car a few years ago as a nice driver and decided to re-paint it and just got to busy to finish it. The car has 116,000 miles and it runs fantastic! Options include A/C, power drivers seat, cruise, tilt and telescopic wheel, power locks, windows, and trunk. The ONLY rust on the car was behind the rear tires and sheet metal has already been welded in those areas. The car is originally from Montana and came to Erie in 2005, and with how perfect the bottom of the doors and rockers are I have to believe it has never seen the salt. The bodywork is about 50% done. The vinyl top is original and beautiful. All of the chrome is in great shape. The drivers seat has had a few panels replaced, they will need dyed to match. The dash is perfect. I removed it to install the brand new windshield. The carpets and head liner just need cleaned up. It has the original working 8 track player. The A/C works great, it will just need a can of refrigerant to top it off. I have already rebuilt the door hinges. It has a vintage set of 15x7 ET,wheels, with brand new lug nuts and washers, that are dated 1975 on the backside. They have 4 matching 235x75-R15 tires with great tread on them. I have all of the parts, pieces, emblems and hardware to complete the car. It will need a battery and exhaust. I will include a couple pics of what it looked like before I pulled the car apart. I can deliver the car for free up to 100 miles. Please call with any questions. Dean 814-450-1387. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
Marchionne hopes Apple will partner with Fiat
Wed, Mar 2 2016Apple wants to make a car. Fiat already makes cars. Therefore, Apple and Fiat should partner to make an Apple Car. Makes sense, right? Clearly, it's not quite that easy, but FCA chief Sergio Marchionne hopes that Cupertino will consider Fiat a worthy candidate for partnership, assuming, of course, that Apple follows through with its overtures into the automobile industry. Marchionne is, according to Bloomberg, a self-proclaimed "Apple freak" who owns every kind of product Apple makes. He suggests that he understands the tech company's needs and wants. "Apple has a language, and you have to be able to speak that language," said Marchionne. "Usually the industry comes into that dialogue with a high degree of arrogance as we know how to make cars. That's not very helpful as their syntax is worth more than our ability to build cars." By "syntax," we assume Marchionne means Apple's sleek and modern design language more than the code behind its software. It's interesting to note that the FCA CEO seems to indicate that Apple would bring more to any partnership than the automaker would. Fair or not, we'd wager that more buyers would care about a potential Apple Car's design and branding than would be concerned with which automaker helped assembled it. A partnership with Apple may be exactly the kind of cure that the FCA CEO believes ails the auto industry. After finding it impossible to further pursue industry consolidation, a tie-up with the massive tech industry, particularly Apple, could generate some much-needed positive cash flow. At present, though, it's all just conjecture – Apple hasn't offered any hints as to the true nature of its so-called Project Titan automotive project, and doesn't seem likely to anytime soon.
