You are looking at a 2010 Chevy Silverado 3500 dually single cab and chassis with a clean and clear title. This and all the trucks i sell come from a local ambulance company they have 700 hundred of these trucks on the road they service Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. I got my dealer licenses specifically to sell these trucks. Myself and another friend used to run these trucks in the oilfield pulling 40 foot gooseneck loaded with up to 18 thousand lbs he still has 4 trucks with over 500k and they run good. So i saw an opportunity to remarket these trucks and help people buy late model clean work trucks at really good prices. I buy all there trucks from them when they pull the ambulances out of service. The trucks have 6.6 duramax with the 6 speed automatic allison transmission. they also have a dual alternator setup and the trucks have rear air ride suspension not just air bags on the springs but true adjustable air ride. These trucks will handle way more weight than the factory springs. They have cold AC, power locks and cruise. These are the best maintained trucks on the road they have to be there are literally peoples lives riding on them. they absolutly can't have a failure. The maintainace files they keep on these truck are literally 500 to 600 pages long. I can't look through each maintainace report it takes hours but i would say most have had the injectors replaced. I check each truck out and drive them and i tell you all i know about the trucks. This truck has no check engine lights on the oil is close to being due for a change. the front tires are new the rears are 45%. the frame is set up for a 12 ft flatbed the measurements are cab to axle is 7 ft and axle to the rear of frame is 5 ft. you can put a shorter bed on there but you can't use a dully bed. So this is how they decide which trucks to pull out of service when the trucks hit 250k the are scheduled to be taken out of service. When a spot opens up at there shop they pull the box off and sell the trucks. So by the time they get an opening in the shop they can have anywhere from 260k to 300k depending on how backed up the shop is. I generally get between 3 and 4 trucks a month. This truck has 268k on it and you would think its 68k it runs great. Remember this is a used truck and will have minor wear associated with a 3 year old truck it is also sold as is. I have sold around 20 of these trucks this year all over the USA and most of the buyers have come back for multiple trucks i can give you phone numbers of some of the people who have bought these trucks as references if you like. Also look at my feed back 100% since 2002 i plan to keep it that way. I also have another 2010 and a 2007 available at this time call for pricing and info. Please call Rob for refs or any questions or to be put on a list for future trucks 337-780-2181

The USPS needs 180,000 new delivery vehicles, automakers gearing up to bid
Wed, Feb 18 2015Winning the New York City Taxi of Tomorrow tender was a huge prize for Nissan, even though the company is still working through the process of claiming its prize. The United States Postal Service has begun the process to take bids for a new delivery vehicle to replace the all-too-familiar Grumman Long Life Vehicle, and that will be a much larger plum for the automaker who wins it, perhaps worth more than six billion dollars. The Grumman LLV is an aluminum body covering a Chevrolet S-10 pickup chassis and General Motors' Iron Duke four-cylinder engine. The USPS bought them from 1987 to 1994, and the 163,000 of them still in service are a monumental drain on postal resources: they get roughly ten miles to the gallon instead of the quoted 16 mpg, drink up more than $530 million in fuel each year, and their constant repair needs like the balky sliding door and leaky windshields have led the service to increase the annual maintenance budget from $100 million to $500 million. A seat belt is about as modern as it gets for safety technology, and the USPS says that assuming things stay the same, it can't afford to run them beyond 2017. Last year it put out two triage requests for proposals seeking 10,000 new chassis and drivetrains for the Grumman and 10,000 new vehicles. The LLV is also too small for the modern mail system in which package delivery is growing and letter delivery is declining. The service says it doesn't have a fixed idea of the ideal "next-generation delivery vehicles," but it listed a number of requirements in its initial request and is open to any proposal. Carriers have some suggestions, though, saying they want better cupholders, sun visors that they can stuff letters behind, a driver's compartment free of slits that can swallow mail, and a backup camera. The request for information sent to automakers pegs the tender at 180,000 vehicles that would cost between $25,000 and $35,000 apiece, and it will hold a conference on February 18 to answer questions about the contract. GM is the only domestic maker to avow an interest, while Ford and Fiat-Chrysler have remained cagey. Yet with a possible $6.3 billion up for grabs and some new vans for sale that would be advertised on every block in the country, we have a feeling everyone will be listening closely come February 18. We also have a feeling the LeMons series is going to be flooded with Grummans come 2017. News Source: Wall Street Journal, Automotive News - sub.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
