You are bidding on a 1956 Chevrolet Pickup. I bought this as a project about 10 years ago and never got it finished. It has been in storage for a long time. This truck is not a project for an inexperienced individual. It needs a lot of work but will make a very good truck. The body is very straight with very little rust. It does have a small amount in the steps and a small amount in the front fenders. The bed is very nice but the floor is gone. It is in mock up stage right now with everything sitting in place. It needs to be taken back apart and the frame painted and body work done. Then reassembled. I do have the original front seat, front and rear chrome bumpers in decent shape and a few other small pieces. There are no door glasses or dash instruments. I replaced the original front suspension with a 1980 Chevy pickup front clip. If you look at the frame where it is put together, it would be very hard to tell that it is not a factory frame. The rear-end is also a Chevy pickup 12-bolt and I was going to use all other components from that style of truck. The truck rolls but there is no motor or transmission included. I have currently a 427 block and 400 turbo sitting in it but I am going to take it out. It is being sold with a bill of sale only. That means there is no title and I have never had one. It was lost many years ago. What you see in the pictures is what you are buying with the exception of the other items I mentioned. No more or less. If you have any questions feel free to ask. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit

There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.

Chevy's Android Auto update will reach cars in March

Buying a new Chevy with the hopes of using Android Auto during your daily commute? You'll have to sit tight for a while before that dream becomes reality. The carmaker announced that an Android Auto software update will only reach its 2016 model-year vehicles next March, starting with those that have 8-inch MyLink touchscreen systems. That's going to be a long half-year wait if you're eager to get Google Maps directions through the center stack. The good news? Chevy is promising that all vehicles with 7- and 8-inch MyLink displays (ranging from the Spark to the Corvette) will eventually have Android Auto, so you won't have to drive one of the brand's swankier machines to get a smartphone-powered infotainment deck. Bob Lutz says Tesla remains 'fringe' brand

We've said it before, we'll said it again: Bob Lutz gives great quotes. From his toilet-themed opinion of global warming to Toyota's deity status, the man knows how to get your attention. His latest? Saying that Tesla Motors is and will remain a fringe brand. Take that, Tesla fanbois. This, of course, is the same fringe company that prompted Lutz and his former colleagues at General Motors to start working on the Chevy Volt around eight years ago. The same fringe company that has easily outsold the similarly priced (but don't call it a competitor) Cadillac ELR with its Model S. Lutz did clarify that the fringe status will only last until Tesla comes out with a mass-market electric vehicle that has a range of 200 to 300 miles. Lutz was on CNBC talking about the TSLA stock's recent performance, and he pointed out that even Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that the California automaker's stock is overvalued these days. Despite its prevalence around these parts, Tesla is not yet a household brand. But the company is working hard to get a cheaper, long-range EV to market in the not-too-distant future, so this fringe thing may not last much longer than that show Fringe did.
