This is a NO RESERVE  auction.

This 1974 Chevy Nova Hatchback will be sold!!

This is a very clean and well maintained “bone stock” 59k mile hatchback.  It runs and drives very well. The interior, body and underside are all in good original condition.. It is equipped with a 350cid engine with 4 barrel and a TH350 transmission.

 Detailed Vehicle Description

Remember – we’re talking about a 40 year old car!!!

As stated, the Medium Green interior is in good condition showing only normal wear.  The dash is in near perfect condition.  The rear seat is like new but the front seat has been recovered and shows  wear-(see pics).   The original headliner is sagging.  All interior trim pieces appear to be original and in good condition.   Carpeting appears to be original and it too is in good condition showing only normal wear.

Mechanically, it is in good condition – does not smoke/leak/etc. Fresh tune up, oil change,etc...  The car starts easily, the automatic transmission shifts as it should and the brakes stop the car properly, i.e., all without issue.  4 wheel drum brakes.  Power steering.

Everything works as it should. Tires are near new.   The Bright Green Metallic finish shows the appropriate patina after 40 years (mostly original paint with signs of previous touch ups through the year). The chrome, trim and glass are in good original condition.

This Nova was originally from California and is as solid as they come!  No rust, rot or bondo!!!  The underside is in excellent condition - (have pics upon request).  You can drive it as is or have a perfect candidate for a rust free restoration.  What you see is what you get!  No surprises!

Additional pics upon request!!!

In summary, this is a well cared for, low mileage, near original Nova Hatchback that runs and drives as good as it looks!  The beauty about this is that you can drive and enjoy this very desirable & collectible car without breaking the bank.  These Novas will continue to increase in value.

Chevy up to old EVs-equal-range-anxiety tricks in new Volt Olympics ad

Fri, Feb 14 2014

General Motors is at it again with a new Chevrolet Volt TV commercial. Viewers of the Winter Olymics (at least in some markets) recently saw a TV ad in between the skating and the skiing that made no mention of the environmental benefits or freedom from the power of Big Oil that electric vehicles provide. No, this one was based on pure survival instinct. In the video, a father is driving down a highway, perhaps through the Mojave Desert. His young son is sitting in the Volt's backseat and asks what happens when the EV's battery runs out. "We'll have to cross that burning desert with snakes and cactus until we make it back to civilization," the dad tells his son as they pass the skeleton of a fallen bull. The fine print makes it clear that the actual maximum range is 342 miles. But there is hope. The father tells his son, with a beaming smile on his face, that the gas generator has kicked in and they're going to make it through the desert. As they wend their way to the horizon, a voice over says that Volt drivers who charge up regularly are making it 900 miles between fill ups. The fine print makes it clear that the actual official maximum range before you need to either plug in or fill up is 342 miles. This theme that emphasized range anxiety has been utilized by GM since the extended range Volt was launched in late 2010, despite the fact that Chevrolet now offers an all-electric vehicle in the Spark EV. Volt fans are praising the commercial, called The New Freedom, on the GM-Volt forum and you can see for yourself below. This content is hosted by a third party. Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.

GM threatens predatory dealers with order cancellations, non-transferrable warranties

Fri, Jul 29 2022

General Motors will launch a second salvo against misbehaving dealerships next week with a new set of policies aimed at curbing predatory markup strategies. With the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, GMC Hummer EV SUV and Cadillac Escalade-V about to head into production, GM is putting its foot down yet again. Dealers that attempt to circumvent GM's markup restrictions by dealing directly with brokers or other resellers could find themselves in a particularly nasty spot, as the company is threatening to withhold future allocations and end the transferability of warranties when dealers facilitate the reselling of vehicles within 12 months.  While this may help curb some dealership chicanery, it's possible the real loser in such a deal could end up being the customer who unwittingly ends up with an un-warrantied vehicle. We suspect GM has accounted for that, but we'll have to wait until next week to find out exactly how these new policies will be enforced.
