With three more projects ahead of this one, I have decided to sell it and reduce the number of cars in my fleet. This is a Chevy II Model 100. The "Cheap" one. Cigarette lighter delete and no arm rests on the rear doors. It had rubber mat instead of carpeting too. These models never had side trim, so no holes to fill!"

This 1967 Chevy II Wagon is a great project looking for a new owner to finish.  My dream was to build the ultimate Chevy II Wagon with a 502 Big Block.  Things change and a few more projects got ahead of this one.  This is what was professionally done so far:  New floors.  Chris Alston steel roll cage.  (Note: The cage is not chrome moly and would have to be NHRA inspected if you race this car.)  The rear wheel boxes have been mini-tubbed & widend by 2 inches.  The leaf-spring mounts were moved in 2 inches and a custom Currey Ford 9" housing is installed with 31 spline axles.  There is no differential.  Gas tank was removed along with the drop bracket.  (A fuel cell was planned.)  Custom frame connectors with traction bars are installed.  A rear disc brake kit goes with the car.   I have the original Protect-O-Plate and owners manual.  There is rust in the LR quarter, top of rear quarter (pin holes) below the quarter windows.  Dents in the RR quarter and the top of the RF fender. (See Pics)  Radio delete panel is included.  I do have a complete Heidt's Mustang front end and a new repro grill and headlight doors that can be purchase at extra cost.  They are not included in the auction price.  All of the doors close perfectly.  The wagon rolls on Billet Specialties wheels in the rear & steers with the stock 14' in the front.  Rear tire size is 315/35R17.  Brakes are not working.  The original seats go with the car.  Thanks for looking.

GM recalls 638,000 U.S. SUVs, trucks for unintended braking

Sat, Nov 2 2019

WASHINGTON — General Motors is recalling 638,000 U.S. sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks because a wheel-speed sensor could fail and cause unintended braking, it said Thursday. The recall covers 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. The sensor failure could result in unintended activation of the driveline protection system, and cause unintended braking of the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor. That could cause the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash, the Detroit automaker said. GM said it was not aware of any crashes relating to the issue but found 150 field claims alleging the condition caused unintended braking or lateral vehicle motion. A GM dealer in May submitted a warranty report relating to the issue in a 2018 GMC Yukon, and two days later, a GM brand quality manager submitted the report to GMÂ’s Speak Up For Safety program that tracks potential safety issues, which prompted a GM investigation and testing. New 2016 Chevy Volt ad arrives in time for Tomorrowland

Tue, May 12 2015

As summer approaches, so do the blockbusters. We've already seen Furious 7 and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, while Mad Max: Fury Road arrives this week. Next week's big debut is Disney's Tomorrowland, starring George Clooney, and not surprisingly, the advertising campaign is kicking into gear. Perhaps attempting to capitalize on the high-tech theme of the flick, Chevrolet has teamed up with Disney for the second-generation Volt's very first commercial appearance. As we reported previously, the Volt will star on the big screen when Tomorrowland hits theaters, and it will be accompanied by the EN-V Concept. Take a look at the Volt's Tomorrowland spot, up top. Leaked GM document shows GMC Sierra I6 diesel is more powerful than F-150's

Thu, Oct 4 2018

GM told us earlier this year that the 2019 GMC Sierra would be getting a 3.0-liter I6 diesel option, but it never mentioned power or fuel economy figures. Hold the phone though, because a leaked GM Canada document just showed up online that lists out the details we've been waiting for. Originally published by TFL Truck, the 3.0-liter oil-burner supposedly makes 282 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. For those who are counting, that's more than the Ford F-150's 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet from its 3.0-liter diesel. It soundly bests the 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque from Ram's 3.0-liter diesel as well. Fuel economy is another story, though. The promotional material states that it will get 28 mpg on the highway, which is 2 mpg short of the F-150's 30 mpg — mind you, it's only capable of that magical 30 mpg figure in rear-wheel drive form. There's another caveat here, too; these are numbers for Canada, so they're not exactly finalized EPA figures. However, we wouldn't expect drastic differences between the two when the American numbers come out. The leaked documents also state the diesel Sierra will be capable of towing 7,800 pounds. That number seems remarkably low when compared to the F-150, which can tow up to 11,400 pounds with its diesel. Extra power and torque would have us assume that GM could get even better numbers than Ford, so we're going to hold our final judgment for official word. A 10-speed automatic will do the shifting on the diesel, just like on the 6.2-liter V8. Since the Chevy Silverado is also expected to get this engine, we can assume the figures would be almost, if not identical, to those we see here. We recently drove the 2019 Sierra and Silverado without the diesel engines, so go check those reviews out if you'd like to know more of our thoughts on the redesigned GM trucks. Related video:
