1966 Chevrolet Nova- Chevy Ii Station Wagon on 2040-cars
Irwin, Pennsylvania, United States

This is a 1966 Nova Station Wagon, VIN is 113356WXXXXXX. I bought the car pretty much the way it is. I was told it is a built 350, 350 turbo, 355-10 bolt posi rear. It has 137K original miles on the body. I have put around 500 trouble free miles on it. It came from Georgia which is noted on the clear Pennsylvania title. I took a dash plaque around the car. It stuck all around the car including the rockers except for the bottom of the tailgate. It was repaired at some point and does have some small spots bubbling and some minor spots on the right side doors. (see pictures). The front floor pans were replaced some time ago and appear to be done correctly and still look good. There was one small hole in the spare tire wheel but was repaired from the inside. It has the original front suspension and power drum brakes. Everything on the brakes front and rear appears to be new and works good. The 355, 10 bolt posi is secured with ladder bars and rear sway bar. It has newer dual exhaust connected to long tube headers and ran out the back with chrome tips. The engine definitely has some work done to it but I have no idea what, the code on the front of the block reads K0312TBD. It has a remote oil filter and a deep sump pan on it. It has a 350 turbo rebuilt when the engine was done with a shift kit installed. I do not know how many miles are on either unit. The radiator appears to have been re-cored. The front suspension has been replaced at some point and is all tight. It rides on new 17" American Racing wheel and tires. The interior has been redone and is in good shape. The rug shows no signs of wear, the dash was disassembled cleaned touched up and reassembled. All the light bulbs in the dash were replaced and all the warning lights, dash lights, turn signals etc all work. The heater is hooked up to the original controls and works good. The front seats appear to be out of a mid 70's GM car I believe and they were redyed but are in decent shape, The were the velvet material and do show wear but are presentable. The inside of the passenger seat seem may have split and been repaired but being on the inside is not that noticeable. (see pictures). The rear seat is on the original frame and was rebuilt and recovered with all new material, foam etc. The headliner is in good shape and there is a piece of rug on the floor in the rear. The spare is for appearance only and has a cover on it that was dyed or painted to match the interior. The windshield has been replaced an all the glass is good and works properly rolling up and down including the tinted rear tailgate glass. The rear tailgate opens, closes and latches properly. The headlights were replaced with the Mercedes flat style bulbs and the tailights were replaced with the LED replacements. All the lights work good, turnsignals cancel and everything seems to OK. The radio was replaced with the newer rebuilt radios made to look like the original equipment. This car runs drives and shows well, does not overheat and charges great. The Teal paint job is driver quality and it has off white or cream color paint on the roof. I will post some pictures of a little of everything and may have more of a certain item. If you want something specific let me know. I have pointed out many small imperfections but try to detail everything for the you the buyer so there are no surprises. I have sold many cars on here in the past without any issues. If you are interested in a Buy-it-now let me know and we can work it out and add it. Please ask any questions and review the pictures before bidding.

GM ending stop-sale order on heavy-duty trucks
Tue, Apr 26 2022General Motors responded to an inquiry from Autoblog regarding a stop-sale order on its full-size heavy-duty pickup trucks. Here's GM's official statement. GM is committed to building the highest quality products possible. We paused delivery on a small number of HD pickups with the 6.6 liter Duramax engine last week to finalize an investigation into a potential quality issue. The investigation has been completed and the stop sale will be lifted for the small number of vehicles at dealerships.Customers can be assured GM’s heavy duty pickups are covered by a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. The original article continues below. General Motors has reportedly sent its Chevrolet and GMC dealers a stop-sale order that applies to some examples of the 2022 Silverado HD, the 2022 Silverado MD, and the 2022 Sierra HD. The units affected by the stop-sale order may develop an engine-related problem. Citing anonymous sources, website GM Authority wrote that the Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 in the affected trucks can hydrolock, which means liquid could enter the cylinders and cause a substantial amount of damage. The report does not specify where the liquid would come from; hydrolocking can happen by driving through a deep puddle of water, for example, but a large amount of coolant can cause it as well. The publication adds that the stop-sale order was assigned internal reference number N222362910. It also notes that the trucks included in it can't be sold, delivered to buyers, traded with another dealer, sent to auction, or even used for demonstration purposes until further notice. Earlier in April 2022, GM Authority reported that General Motors planned to buy back an unspecified number of Silverado HD and Sierra HD trucks due to quality-related issues with the 6.6-liter V8. Details about the problems experienced by customers haven't been released; all we know is that each truck will be replaced, though the replacement may not have the same equipment due to the ongoing chip shortage. GM now finishing and shipping pickups it had parked for lack of chips
Fri, Oct 22 2021DETROIT — General Motors is more than halfway through shipping newly-assembled pickups that it had parked due to a shortage of semiconductor chips, a top executive at the No. 1 U.S. automaker said on Friday. "We've made great progress," Steve Carlisle, GM's North American chief executive said at the Reuters Events Automotive Summit. "We're a bit better than halfway through that at the moment and our goal would be to clear out our '21 model years by the end of the year. We'll have a bit of a tail of '22 model years into the new year but not for too long." The global chip shortage has forced automakers like GM to idle production or in some cases mostly build vehicles and then park them until the necessary chips can be installed, allowing those vehicles to be then shipped to dealers. Last month, GM Chief Financial Officer Paul Jacobson cautioned that GM's third-quarter wholesale deliveries could be down by 200,000 vehicles because of chip shortages. He did not break out what share of that was trucks. To expedite transportation of newly-built vehicles to dealers, Carlisle said GM bought a number of car haulers to deliver them from factories or distribution centers. The Detroit automaker has also allowed dealers to pick the vehicles up themselves in some locations. Carlisle said new vehicle inventories have shrunk to below 20 days in the United States due to the supply chain disruptions, but the company wants to get that back up to 30 to 45 days with some getting to 60 days depending on the product line. GM sees sales of gasoline-powered vehicles being steady over the decade and real growth opportunity in electric vehicles and software, with one not undermining the other, he said. Â
Chevy ramps up development of Bolt EV
Thu, Jun 25 2015The Bolt is on the move, and Chevy confirmed Wednesday it is testing more than 50 prototypes as it prepares to launch the electric vehicle in 2017. We've already seen the photographic evidence in these spy shots, but Chevy released its own images and the above video as further proof that the EV remains on track toward production. Chevy revealed the Bolt as a concept in January at the Detroit Auto Show, promising a range of 200 miles on electricity with a price tag of about $30,000 after possible incentives. The prototypes are being hand-built and tested at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, MI, and other global locations. "Effectively these are the bones of the car that's going to be the production Chevy Bolt," said Josh Tavel, the car's chief engineer. Chevy is testing the Bolt in all areas of vehicle competence, including ride and handling dynamics, cabin comfort, quietness, charging capability, and energy efficiency. More than 1,000 engineers are working on the program. "We really wanted to convey the notion that this is running fast. It's happening," said Pam Fletcher, GM's executive chief engineer of electrified vehicles. The Bolt will be built at GM's Orion Assembly plant north of Detroit and sold in all 50 states. It's part of the automaker's electric car blitz that includes the plugin hybrid Volt, the traditional (non-plugin) Malibu hybrid, and confirmation of plans to expand sales of the Spark EV to Canada and Maryland.
