This Landau was built in Canada and has had 2 previous owners. The 1st ordered it new with the only options as follows; power windows, windscreen antenna, split cloth notch back seat. He drove it until 2003 and 63 900 miles. The 2nd owner drove it on occasion until 2012 and 67 268 miles. Car now has 70 800 miles original. I have replaced all brakes, exhaust, front wheel bearings, suspension (including heavy duty coils with 2" lift) and coil over shocks in front with adjustable rear air shocks. Car has brand new rubber all four corners 275/60R15 mounted on vintage 1976 corvette slots. Exterior paint is original never painted never repaired. Car was always garaged. Minor surface rust associated to stone chips and minor rust below rear window trim. Entire car was sprayed with Krown rust inhibitor last fall. Interior is mint and I mean mint with zero flaws. The rear seat was never sat in until my kids. Car drives great with expected oil seeps from 38 year old gaskets. Very dependable and would drive it cross country tomorrow. Original windscreen is cracked. Next on the list was to do were oil seeps. New door pins and bushings on order for 1/4 mile long front doors which I will include with car if I don't get the chance to install. I have original manuals, mud flaps, suspension, wheels, tires, hub caps and steering wheel. Also have original dealer installed cassette player with anti-theft quick release. Spare tire original in trunk and never removed? I have all paper work including transfer from original owner.

Car blows small puff of blue smoke on start up due to original valve seals needing replacement. I also have new valve gaskets to throw in.

I think you would be hard pressed to find another in this strong original unmolested ORIGINAL condition.

Reserve is fair market value based on comparables sold in last 12 months.

Fly into Winnipeg MB and drive it home or will help with loading with shipper of your choice.

Thanks for looking.....

GM exploring ways to raise half-ton Duramax diesel tow rating

Sun, Nov 3 2019

Lots of truck owners cheered when GM announced fuel economy numbers for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado with the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel inline-six. Even after Ram let loose its EPA mileage ratings for the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, the Chevy oil-burner still took the trophy. The victory was years in the making, GM engineers spending an entire four-year development cycle refining the LM2 Duramax to increase mileage. The tradeoff, as well all know by now, is towing; the Duramax in half-ton duty pulls a maximum 9,300 pounds in the Silverado. Rivals across town can do more, the Ford F-150 PowerStroke rated at 11,500, the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel game to pull 12,560. GM engineer John Barta told Muscle Cars & Trucks that more hauling chops could be on the way, explaining, "We’re actually looking at upgrading some of the materials around (the engine bay) to see if we can maybe raise our tow rating." Engine bay materials are at issue due to thermal complexities underhood. John Barta, GM's assistant chief engineer of diesel engine controls, said the Duramax's inline-six configuration allowed engineers to get emissions hardware like the combined selective catalytic reduction, diesel oxidation catalysts, and diesel particulate filter unit closer to the engine, where it heats up quicker, getting emissions down quicker. But that filter puts another heat source in those confines, enforcing a cap on the tow rating to keep the engine and other systems from overheating. "If you look under the hood," he said, "youÂ’ll see a significant amount of silver ‘moon tapeÂ’ around to make sure things arenÂ’t getting overheatedÂ… if we were to go up in higher towing, which we can, we start impacting the possibility of deteriorating some of the components.” There isn't much space for more grille, so swapping for a better grade of "moon tape" or a different kind of material could reduce engine bay heat, extracting a higher tow rating in the process.  It's important to note a point Barta's been making for months about the Duramax figures, though. "Even though itÂ’s nice to brag about big numbers, in reality, light duty customers are not towing that large with their trucks," and, "We do know that (95 percent) of our light duty customers donÂ’t tow over 9,000 pounds." On our First Drive of the 2020 Silverado diesel we called out the tow rating, but emphasized that the Chevy and GMC have more important challenges to overcome.

New Chevy Small Block crate engine has 405 hp, endless possibilities

Sat, Oct 3 2015

With decades of history, the Chevrolet Small Block V8 has definitely stood the test of time, and the company has kept finding ways to make it better. At this year's SEMA Show in November, Chevy Performance is unveiling the latest upgrade to that legacy with the new ZZ6 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) crate engine. Offering 405 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, the mill should add a big dose of power to any project car. For the ZZ6, Chevy is working to improve the Small Block's high-rpm performance. To make that happen, the engine has Fast Burn aluminum cylinder heads and an updated valvetrain inspired by the LS family of powerplants. Large intake runners help with the airflow, and the valve springs use a tapered design that allows for less reciprocating mass. The mill also packs a forged steel crankshaft and high-silicon aluminum pistons inside of a cast iron block. Chevy is offering the engine in two versions depending on what the builder needs. The Base configuration comes with an intake, distributor, water pump, and a few other parts but lacks carburetor and accessories. Conversely, the Turn Key option has everything, including the carb, air cleaner, starter, alternator, and more. More details about their availability will be announced at SEMA. NEW ZZ6 CHEVY SMALL BLOCK ADVANCES CRATE ENGINE LEGACY Revised Fast Burn heads with LS-inspired valvetrain enhance high-rpm performance 2015-10-02 DETROIT – Developed with contemporary technologies, including a high-rpm valvetrain, Chevrolet Performance's new ZZ6 crate engine offers builders a modern twist on the classic Chevy Small Block 350. It uses updated Fast Burn cylinder heads with beehive-style valve springs inspired by the LS engine family – a feature that enhances high-rpm capability, enabling the new high-performance engine to achieve 405 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. That's more power than any factory produced 350 engine ever installed in a Chevrolet production vehicle and it's one of the most powerful 350 Small Block-based crate engines in the nearly 27-year history of the "ZZ" lineup. "The new ZZ6 is the ultimate ZZ 350-based crate engine from Chevrolet Performance," said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports.
