Vehicle Description

GREAT DRIVER, PWR STEERING, PWR BRAKES, PWR WINDOWS, PWR TOP. Original 327 V8 runs awesome with 3 speed automatic transmission.

Cosmetic

  • Paint/Body: Very straight body. Minor rust spots in the rear lower quarters. Other than that the body is super solid and rust free. Paint is older driver quality, consistent from bumper to bumper. Paint looks nice from 15ft, had a few little nicks from being a driver.
  • Interior: New dash pad. Seats are very clean and nice. Carpet needs to be replaced. Door panels are original and faded, need to be re-dyed or replaced. Has 4 original seat belts.
  • Glass/Windows: Power windows work good. All glass is in good shape.
  • Trunk: Trunk has minor surface rust where moisture was trapped inside from washing the car. One spot of rust was repaired with fiberglass. Solid trunk pan overall
  • Undercarriage: Rust free frame rails. Minor rust in far rear quarters. Strong floor pans.
  • Wheels/Tires: Brand new Firehaw tires on rally wheels

Mechanical

  • Drivetrain: Original 327 engine runs flawlessly. Lots of power, original style dual to single exhaust is quiet. 3 Speed automatic transmission shifts perfect. The car drive very straight and smooth.
  • Lights/Electrical: All lights and electrical work properly. New radio needs to be hood up
  • Brakes: Power brakes stop straight and strong
  • Power Options: Power Windows, Power Top, Power Steering, Power Brakes
This is a great way to get into a daily driver condition Impala without braking the banks. A little tlc on this baby and you would have a super sharp car without too much money in her. Watch the video then call Erick at 678-908-6006

This 450-hp electric Lotus Evora is powered by Tesla and Chevrolet

Tue, May 9 2017

When someone mentions an electric Lotus, the first thing that comes to mind is the Tesla Roadster, the California-based automaker's first vehicle. That car started life as an Elise before being heavily massaged and adapted by Tesla's engineers. In a similar spirit, the people at Onpoint Dyno are close to finishing Blue Lightning, a track-ready all-electric Lotus Evora. Blue Lightning uses a Tesla drive unit and a Chevrolet Volt battery pack, both mounted in the middle in place of the Evora's 3.5-liter Toyota V6. It's putting down about 450 horsepower at the wheels. The car was built for time attack sessions, so power is fed through custom forged wheels and super sticky Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires, the same ones found on the last Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. There is a custom digital instrument cluster in place of the Lotus gauges. There's also a regen paddle on the left side of the steering wheel. With a full charge, Blue Lighting should go about 120 miles. While the car runs under its own power, it's only about 90 percent complete. It has no power steering, no firewall in between the seats and the motor and battery pack, no A/C, and a large hole where the shift lever used to be. Other final touches include fine-tuning the brakes and suspension. There is also a custom rear bumper coming that should make it look more like the new Lotus Evora 400. Onpoint Dyno expects the car to hit the track in the next month or so. Related Video:

Retro Wrong: MotorWeek shares first unaired pilot episode

Fri, Apr 17 2015

MotorWeek is an automotive institution in the United States. We all have to get our start somewhere though, and for the latest entry in the Retro Review series, the show is releasing its unaired pilot for the first time. Even today, the program isn't necessarily the most exciting thing on TV, but the modern incarnation looks like Top Gear compared to this original, very monotone attempt. The cars on display are more interesting from a historical aspect than actually being behind the wheel. MotorWeek puts the Chevrolet Citation and Ford Fairmont head to head. If you want to see progress in the auto industry, look here. The Fairmont manages a rousing 85 horsepower from a 3.3-liter inline six, and the Citation does only a little better with a 115-hp, 2.8-liter V6. The other highlight comes at the end when John Davis talks about the cars of the future. These include the upcoming introduction of the Ford Escort in the US and the mention of a possible gasoline-electric hybrid from General Motors. Given this pilot, it's amazing MotorWeek ever got the green light. However, if you're a fan of auto history, seeing the news from the past is always fascinating. Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
