WANNA SAVE $200? READ END OF THIS. EIGHT GRAND OFF OF HERE. OFFERS ARE BEING KEPT. IF YOU'RE SERIOUS, SPELL OUT PHONE NUMBER AFTER OFFER. IN JUNE, IF IT DOESN'T SELL, OFFERS MAY BE CALLED. READ END OF THIS. For a limited time we have a heavily altered and customized 1959 Elcamino sitting on a 1982 Chevy pickup frame. The original frame is welded to the 1982 frame. 2WD not 4WD. It was not added for rot reasons, it was added for a cheaper way to raise it, and add power steering and power disc brakes. 68 Nova posi rear. The original grille is back in, not the teeth. Teeth go with it, though. It has a reconstructed title. But don't let that scare you. You can still get a regular truck plate for it, and classic/antique insurance on it, like I have for about ten years, provided you have a daily driver. For me, it is only $266 a year full coverage. It has power steering and power brakes. Windows roll up and down well, and vent windows roll open too. Motor is a 1973 Nova 350 Edelbrock 4 barrel with a Turbo 350 3 speed automatic transmission and shift kit. Everything works and passes inspection every year. Rear rims/tires are Cragar S/S 15X10 with P275/60R15 and fronts are 15X7 with P235/70R15. Rears are like new, front have half tread, but I have extra tires to go with it. Front suspension was rebuilt less than two years ago. Rims have no rust. Exhaust is true dual stainless steel 2.5 inch out the back with stainless glasspack Cherry bombs. Manifolds, not headers. Bed cover opens like a hood and stays up. Floor is completely flat inside (hump removed) because of the lifted body. Tailgate still opens. I've had it many years and enjoyed it. Someone elses turn. Still PA inspected til Sept 2013. Seat is now a bench seat. Needs little bodywork, spots bubbling here and there. But still looks good from a distance. Paint isn't perfect either, but ditto on that. Very cool unmistakable ride nonetheless. Serious offers will be made note of, just offer away. If you're serious, spell out your phone number after the offer. Off here it's ten grand even. If you don't B I D
As for the many extra parts: NO I WILL NOT SELL THEM INDIVIDUALLY UNLESS AFTER THIS IS SOLD, THE NEW OWNER DOESN'T WANT THEM...I have near new door shells, fenders, quarter panels, tailgate, front and rear glass, bumpers (good but need rechrome), and a ton of small parts too numerous to list from chrome trim to hinges to dash pieces. It's almost another 59 Elcamino except no extra frame, hood, or roof. For another two grand the extra parts go with it!

GM seatbelt recall affects over 1m Silverados and Sierras
Fri, Apr 15 2016The Basics: General Motors will recall 895,232 examples of the 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups in the US. The campaign will also affect the trucks in markets worldwide, and the total number the company will recall is 1,037,982. The Problem: A steel cable connects the seatbelt to the vehicle, but over time repeated bending can cause the part to fatigue and separate. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will enlarge the side shield opening and install a pusher bracket on the tensioner. Technicians will also replace the entire tensioner assembly if necessary. If You Own One: GM will contact owners about the recall. The company hasn't said when those notifications would begin. More Information: There are still about 3,000 new examples of these older pickups at dealerships. Until mechanics fix the problem, these vehicles are subject to a stop-sale. Similar problems have affected the General's vehicles in the past. In 2015, the company recalled over 400,000 units of the 2011-2012 Chevrolet Malibu for fatiguing cables. It also hit over a million Lambda platform crossovers in 2014. GM Recalling Certain 2014-15 Pickups to Repair Seat Belts DETROIT – GM is voluntarily recalling 895,232 model year 2014-15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups in the United States because the flexible steel cable that connects the seat belt to the vehicle can fatigue and separate over time as a result of the driver repeatedly bending the cable when entering the seat. This issue was discovered through warranty data, and there have been no reports of crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this issue. For trucks in the field, dealers will enlarge the side shield opening, install a pusher bracket on the tensioner, and if necessary, replace the tensioner assembly. The recall in the United States includes a stop-sale of approximately 3,000 new 2014 and 2015 model year pickups still on dealer lots. Dealers will repair the vehicles prior to delivering them to customers. Customers will be notified by General Motors. They also can look up their vehicle identification number (VIN) at either https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/ website or at https://my.gm.com/web/portal/ownercenter to see if their vehicle is part of the recall. GM also will voluntarily recall and repair these models in other countries where they are sold, including Canada, Mexico, and several countries in Latin America and the Middle East.
Autoblog's guilty pleasure cars
Tue, Mar 10 2015Guilty pleasures are part of life – don't even try to pretend like you don't have one (or two, or six). In the non-automotive space, this could come down to that secret playlist in your iPhone of songs you'll only listen to when you're alone; or think of that one TV show you really do love, but won't admit to your friends. I've got plenty, and so do you. Going back to cars, here's a particularly juicy one for me: several years ago, I had a mad crush on the very last iteration of the Cadillac DTS. Oh yes, the front-wheel-drive, Northstar V8-powered sofa-on-wheels that was the last remaining shred of the elderly-swooning days of Cadillac's past. Every time I had the chance to drive one, I was secretly giddy. Don't hate me, okay? These days, the DTS is gone, but I've still got a mess of other cars that hold a special place in my heart. And in the spirit of camaraderie, I've asked my other Autoblog editors to tell me some of their guilty pleasure cars, as well – Seyth Miersma, as you can see above, has a few choice emotions to share about the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Read on to find out what cars make us secretly happy. Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG This decadent convertible is the epitome of the guilty pleasure. It's big, powerful, fairly heavy and it's richly appointed inside and out. It's a chocolate eclair with the three-pointed star on the hood. Given my druthers, I'd take the SL65 AMG, which delivers 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. That output is borderline absurd for this laid-back convertible. I don't care. You don't need dessert. Sometimes you just crave it. The SL line is about the feel you get on the road. The roof is open. The air, sun and engine sounds all embrace you. It's the same dynamic you could have experienced in a Mercedes a century ago, yet the SL gives you the most modern of luxuries. An Airscarf feature that warms my neck and shoulders through a vent embedded in the seat? Yes, please. Sure, it's an old-guy car. Mr. Burns and Lord Grantham are probably too young and hip for an SL65. I don't care. This is my guilty pleasure. Release the hounds. – Greg Migliore Senior Editor Ford Flex I drove my first Flex in 2009 when my mother let me borrow hers for the summer while I was away at college. The incredibly spacious interior made moving twice that summer a breeze, and the 200-mile trips up north were quite comfortable.
GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada
Thu, 21 Feb 2013Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
