You're looking at an Amazing Corvette! Just traded in and it has to be the deal of the century. 1999 was the first year for the FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe) and it was produced until 2000. These were special light weight Corvettes and all had the Z51 handling package and all were 6 speed manual transmissions. They were the predecessor to the Z06 which came out in 2001. Only 4031 of these FRC's were produced in 1999 making this a very rare Corvette. This one has been made up to look like the Z06 with Z06 badging, screens and rear brake coolers. It also has Borla exhaust, Halltech cold air intake, lowered, short throw shifter with custom shift knob, cove screens, new custom Black seat covers with Red stitching, C-6 Z06 style twin spoke chrome wheels, short mast antenna and Lloyd custom floor mats. This Corvette is absolutely pristine with perfect door panels, perfect Torch Red paint, perfect carpet, I took a picture of the skik bars underneith on only very light scrapes on them! I deove it home to see if it would go up my steep driveway, a concern with a lowered Corvette and it went right up with no problem. Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.
Nissan Leaf sells 1,553 in April, Volt climbs to 905
Fri, May 1 2015After three months in the 500 and 600 range, sales of the Chevy Volt climbed to 905 in April. That's up for the year so far – likely due to increasing discounts – but still down 41.5 percent from April 2014. As we've been saying every time the Volt turns in less-than-exciting monthly sales numbers, we suspect a large number of potential Volt buyers are waiting for the next-gen model to arrive in the second half of 2015. While the price for that car has not yet been announced, the updated tech specs show that it will probably be worth the wait for drivers who want the latest and greatest. Over on the Nissan Leaf side of things, April sales were 1,553 units this year. That's the second-best month of the year but down from the 2,088 units sold last April. After the Leaf finally climbed to the top of the cumulative best sellers list for plug-in vehicles last month, the difference between these two leaders is now 1,824 in favor of the Leaf. Nissan says that sales were influenced by the launch of its No Charge To Charge promotion in Indianapolis and Fresno, CA. This deal gives new Leaf buyers and lessees two years of no-cost quick charging in these markets. No Charge To Charge is not available in 15 US markets for (San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago and Atlanta) and will expand to 10 more by the middle of this year. As we do every month, our full wrap-up of US green car sales is coming soon.
