The car has run previously by the prior owners as fast as a Mid/Low 10's pass in the quarter mile previously before I bought it. I purchased the car about 3 years ago and I have done many changes to make it a better drag/street car. I have not raced the car as of yet, but it is race ready as of right now. The car was rewired, the rear end is rebuilt, a lot of new AN fittings, and safety changes and upgrades. This car is very tastefully done and mechanically is very nice. The car could use a paint job. The car is nearly rust free and always was a clean car. The floor pans are original and nearly rust free, the frame is also clean shape, meaning this car has not seen salt or wintertime in decades or if ever. The paint is ok on the car, but is not a show car paint job. The car looks great doing down the road and on the track, but up close it is not a perfect job.  When I bought the car it had a lot of racing and contingency decals on it everywhere and the car looked fine.  But once I removed them, I found the poor bodywork and paint on the car.  I trimmed a lot of weight out of this car since I got it and the cage should be able to certify to 8.50 if necessary. And there is a lot more potential here yet with by adding more fiberglass body panels but I was unsure how far I wanted to go with either wanting a drag car or a street car? The car can be street driven on the street if exhaust system and front turn signals are added to the car now. All the wiring is there for the front turn signals/parking lights. Obviously there is other DOT necessary items missing that would make it 100% streetable like parking brakes, windshield wipers, hazzard lights, etc. but if registered as a hobbyist or Collector, or custom type license it doesn't matter then. The car comes with a clean and clear title if somebody is interested in street driving the car again, and I have contact information of previous owners as well that goes along with the sale.

Any other questions feel free to message me:

I have about 40 Pictures of the car of all angles I can share with you. So just ask. Please only if you are serious though. Thanks.

Thanks,
Nathan Persha

2020 Ford Escape hybrids vs other crossover fuel sippers: How they compare on paper

Wed, Apr 3 2019

Along with a new generation of Escape, Ford also reintroduced the world to the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. And if that weren't enough, Ford is adding a plug-in hybrid version. This is a sign of the times: people are more crossover crazy than ever, but are also seeking ways to use less fuel, whether it's for environmental or purely money-motivated reasons. The Ford hybrids aren't the only fuel-efficient compact crossovers on the market. They will be going head-to-head with conventional hybrids including the 2019 Kia Niro, 2019 Nissan Rogue Hybrid and 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. There are other plug-in hybrids including the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek PHEV, 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and the plug-in version of the 2019 Kia Niro. There are even a couple diesels in the form of the 2019 Chevy Equinox and 2019 GMC Terrain. So we've rounded up the details on all these crossovers to see who leads and lags in criteria such as power, fuel efficiency, space and price. Check out all their details below. 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid View 68 Photos How do their engines and fuel economy compare? Conventional Hybrids and Diesels Let's face it, if you're buying one of these crossovers, one of the things that matters most to you is just how frugal with fuel they are. We'll start off with the conventional hybrids and diesels, and the clear victor is the Kia Niro, which in base FE trim, manages to hit 50 mpg combined. This is thanks to it sharing its powertrain with the Hyundai Ioniq, the Hyundai equivalent of the Toyota Prius. Buyers should take note that only the FE returns such high fuel economy. The LX and EX drop to 49 mpg, and the S Touring and Touring get 43. Even then, the least efficient Niro is the most efficient of the normal hybrids and diesels. It is nearly the least powerful, though, with 139 horsepower. Just behind it is the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. It delivers 40 mpg combined, and it has an ace up its sleeve: it comes standard with all-wheel drive. Every other vehicle in this powertrain group has front drive standard, and the Niro isn't available with all-wheel drive at all. If that weren't enough, the RAV4 Hybrid also boasts the most power at 219 horses. While we can't say anything about Escape Hybrid fuel economy, we do know that it will make 198 horsepower, which is close to the class-leading RAV4. The least powerful of these is the Equinox and Terrain, and they return the worst fuel economy at 32 mpg.

Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.

Corvette + fireworks = so much glory

Fri, Jul 3 2015

You might think that those of us making our living by reviewing cars, think critically about the cars we're driving most of the time. It could be that I'm an underachiever, but that's not the case with me. In fact, unless I'm set to the review task, I typically think about the cars in front of and around me more frequently. That's because a) you never know what you're going to see out there, and b) all of them could be out to bump/scratch/tailgate/crash me out. You can never be too careful. Such was the case when I was driving a 2015 Chevy Corvette earlier this week. I'd already had my fun finding the edges of grip on a river road in the car, the night before; on the morning in question I was just trying to get to work. But while scanning the suburban streets for potential dangers to the 'Vette's neat-o Daytona Sunrise orange paint, I spied a XXL-sized fireworks tent in an empty parking lot. Oh right, I remembered, 4th of July weekend. That obvious bit of observation lead to a chain of thought along these lines: "We should do something with this car for the 4th" ... "Too bad I have to give it back tomorrow." ... "Wonder if I could do a quick video?" ... "Wonder if I can set off a bunch of fireworks in slow-mo for a video?" The result, well, I won't call it genius, but I will say that I remember why every kid loves fireworks. And I will call it glorious. Happy 4th, y'all.
