I have owned this Chevelle since 2000, and sadly after all these years I have not been able to find the time or money to bring this car back to pristine condition like I wanted to. I changed the fluids regularly and drove it a couple hundred miles per year, but mostly kept it in storage all this time as the tires were very old and I have a thing about keeping as much original as possible. But overall the car is in GREAT solid condition, at least 90% of the original anti rust underbody coating is still intact and visible on the cars frame and undercarriage. All the glass is intact, and all but the windshield are original to the car. It has less than 50,000 original miles, and runs well for a 40 year old car. It also retains 3 of 4 original head lamps, all the marker lights, tail lights, lenses and trim is intact, though the right front headlight bezel is bent up, but I have a replacement if desired. The radio is currently out of the car, but I again have it, as well as a replacement radio from that era out of a Nova. Inside the glove box you will find the original manual and protect-o-plate. Inside the trunk you will find no rust, and the ORIGINAL spare tire which is in great shape too and you can still read the dealer logo painted on the sidewall of the tire. It retains all 4 of its original dog dish hubcaps, and some later added beauty rings. The steel wheels are all painted the matching color of blue to the car, and are in great shape too. The engine runs smooth and strong with no issues ever having arisen in my ownership of the vehicle, the transmission shifts strong and flawlessly. The car comes equipped with option shoulder belts front and rear, vinyl floors for easy cleaning, power steering and power brakes, the rest is base model. This is a great cruiser, family car or a daily driver who wants a classic to drive, all it needs is some new rubber and a good car wash, and it should be good to go, the battery is an older one so it might need a new battery as well, but overall its in great shape. I hate to get rid of the old girl but I cant afford to keep it any longer and need to pay rent more than I need a second car. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. As far as shipping or pick up, I cant help much with shipping, that is the buyers responsibility, but it can be picked up personally as well by trailer or driven home but at your own risk. I require a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction, no excuses if you win the bid and decide you don't want it, I keep the money, otherwise if you take it, the $500 will be credited to the purchase. I tried to describe it as best as I can, and I apologize if anything is left out or doesn't answer your questions. If you have any more questions or would like photos of other areas of the car, please contact me and I will endeavor to get them as soon as I can. Good luck and happy bidding.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Man spent $75 on a truck that lasted 38 years
Mon, Jan 5 2015Absurd as it is, some buyers today are worried about getting their car to last throughout the term of their seven-year car loan. Minnesota resident Bob Sportel has the opposite issue: his Chevrolet truck seemingly won't die. Sportel needed a cheap ride to get to work when he took a job at a farmer's co-op 38 years ago, so he bought a rusty 1957 Chevy pickup for $75 from a farmer; at the time, the 20-year-old truck was almost as old as Bob was. After nearly four decades of daily driving and an estimated 300,000 miles, Sportel is still driving the truck today. Bolts secure a fender, Bondo secures the lights, what looks like a whole roll of duct tape keeps him sitting on the bench seat instead of in it. For a 58-year-old pickup that's never seen a garage or a new coat of paint – but did get its oil changed four times a year – that's not bad; Sportel thinks his repair bill hasn't got above $1,000 for the entire time he's owned the truck. He still has no plans to get rid of it, saying, "It just becomes a part of you." You can watch his story in the video above. News Source: KARE11.com Chevrolet Truck Classics Videos
Here are 12 electric pickups in the works
Wed, Oct 21 2020With the unveiling of the GMC Hummer EV, the list of planned electric pickups is expanding. Legacy automakers like Ford and Chevy have theirs coming, as do startups like Tesla, Rivian and Bollinger, as well as some lesser known brands. Here are all the electric pickup trucks we know to be in the works, along with a few that are being discussed or mulled over. GMC Hummer EV The 2022 GMC HUMMER EV is a first-of-its kind supertruck develop View 40 Photos We’ve seen it now, and itÂ’s the business. The GMC Hummer EV comes out swinging with 1,000 horsepower from GMÂ’s new Ultium electric powertrain program, a wealth of off-road features, a removable roof, Super Cruise and the revival of the Hummer name. WeÂ’ll see the first ones on the road next fall. Tesla Cybertruck Tesla Cybertruck at the Petersen Museum View 14 Photos Tesla revealed the Cybertruck last year with, ahem, unique styling, a number of powertrain options and a claimed range of up to 500 miles. It has a compressed paper dash, a ramp for the bed, and “shatterproof” windows. It has already racked up hundreds of thousands of reservations. It will be built in Texas. Rivian R1T 2021 Rivian R1T View 15 Photos EV startup Rivian revealed its R1T electric pickup toward the end of 2018 with a claimed 0-60 time of 3 seconds and a towing capability of 11,000 pounds. Preproduction began in September 2020 at RivianÂ’s factory in Normal, Illinois. Bollinger Motors B2 Bollinger Motors B2 side outdoors View 31 Photos BollingerÂ’s B2 electric pickup is a Class 3 off-roader with retro styling, removable roof panels, and a unique “frunkgate” with a pass-through down the center of the vehicle. It was created with both enthusiasts and workers in mind, with features that can get it to remote places (portal axles, hydro-pneumatic suspension) and to get things done (room for 40 2x4s, equipped with eight 110-volt outlets and one 220-volt outlet). Bollinger also plans to make the B2 Chassis Cab available for fleet customization. Ford F-150 Electric Electric Ford F-150 Towing View 9 Photos WeÂ’ve known this to be in the works since early 2019. Since then, details have trickled out. Back in June, Ford announced its F-150 Electric would be coming within two years. WeÂ’ve seen it pull a million pounds worth of train and trucks, heard it will have more power than any other F-150, and seen its LED-laden front end.
