94,000 original miles.
NO. . .. not 194,000. . ... ninety thousand miles.
Non-smoking owners. NO bad smell inside.
350 with Quadrajet 4 barrel carb
It has the lower and much more fuel efficient
3:23 gears in the rear end.
(The Caprices that had the 305 and 2 barrel carb were badly paired with a much higher gear set and because of the particular torque curve of the 305 made those models get much worse gas mileage than this 350/4 barrel and 3:23 gears combination)
Single exhaust with new muffler, new tailpipe and no catalytic converter. Runs nice and quiet. No exhaust leaks or tics.
Manual windows and locks
Was garaged for a large portion of its life. . . has been parked outside for the last 3 years.
Adult owned and driven, never abused or driven hard.
This car has NOT , repeat NOT....been in a collision or hit in any way.
It was bumped into something in the front corner by the previous owner at very low speeds. You can see the damage in the pics.
This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL, starting, running and driving Caprice.
I took great care of it for the three years that I owned it and worked on making it more reliable as well as smooth and quiet.
**I PUT COUNTLESS HOURS INTO THIS CAR AND OVER 1300$ IN NEW PARTS!!! **
It starts perfectly, and runs amazing and stops great.
It's a very comfortable, quiet, warm, roomy luxury car and is a fantastic daily driver.
The heater is very hot and the fan is new and works perfectly.
You can haul 5-6 people quite comfortably if you want to.
When I bought this car it belonged to an older lady who had stopped driving it and garaged it.
I am the second owner.
I wanted to make sure that I could not only commute with this car reliably but also travel long distances without having to worry about break-downs or failures.
I started to replace every part I could on the car whether or not it had failed so that I wouldn't have to worry about it.
Here is a list of what I replaced with NEW PARTS.
All parts are lifetime warranty parts if they were available.
Radiator
Radiator cap
Thermostat
Water pump
Air cleaner
Breather filter
Battery
Pcv valve
Fan clutch
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Distributor cap and rotor
Fuel filter
Fuel pump
Alternator
Starter
All the belts
Both Radiator hoses
Heater blower motor
Shocks
Timing chain and gears
Headlights
Headlight switch
I also replaced the stereo with a Kenwood deck and some decent 6x9's in the rear as well as adding a nice aftermarket steering wheel.
You will never drive another car with a Quadrajet that runs like this one. Everyone likes to talk smack about how bad they are, but I'm telling you. . . this thing runs PERFECT. It's like fuel injection... not a single flat spot or problem. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL smooth running carb.
There are a few problems with the car that you should know about:
-The interior is not perfect. It's used. It isn't trashed, but it's been lived in.
-The dash has cracks in the top of it.
-The tires are ready to be replaced.
-The headliner is gone. . . It was falling down and I have removed it.
-The paint is not perfect. I really needs to be worked over good with some rubbing compound and then waxed. I am confident a lot of the dullness is just dead paint and oxidation that will come right off with some work.
-There are three spots of body damage: (THIS IS NOT FROM BEING HIT. THESE ARE LOW SPEED IMPACT MARKS! )One is the front corner by the headlight. It needs a new corner, NOTE: The header panel and quater panel are not damaged. Its just the corner. It looks as though the previous owner bumped into a pillar or something at low speed with this corner.
-The second is a small dent in the passenger rear quarter panel . In the picture you can see some surface rusts spots as well. This is from when a dog ran into the side of the car at high speed while chasing another dog... it happened while i was driving... it was NOT from an impact with something hard. It cracked the paint and popped the marker light out of the housing but the dent is very small in the actual body panel itself. Its mostly just the paint cracks that you will notice.
-the third is on the passenger side rear door has a small crease where it looks like the previous owner opened the door into something hard edged. It put a crease in the lower 1/4 of the door.
all are pictured here. Please look carefully at the pictures.
-I noticed that the brake lights have gotten glitch and sometimes work and sometimes don't. I haven't had a chance to look at them and see what is going on yet.
-When I got the car the bearing in the Air conditioning compressor was squeaking so I removed the belt and compressor so that I could replace them at a later date at my convenience.
I have a BRAND NEW IN THE BOX Air Conditioning compressor, new receiver dryer, new accumulator and new A/C belt all ready to go on the car but have not installed them yet. This will go along with the car if you buy it.
-There is a spot on the vinyl top behind the rear passenger door that was repaired by the previous owner. Poorly. Its stained a different color and is very rough. You can see details in the photos. HOWEVER... the rest of the top is in GREAT shape.
-The rear window defroster does not work. I have never investigated to see if it was a switch, or wiring issue.
This car has been perfectly reliable and wonderful to live with. It breaks my heart to sell it, but I have bills that need to be paid.
I had intended to drive this car on vacation to see friends all over the country and keep it for the rest of my life. . . this was going to be my lifelong project car.
I would not hesitate to leave with it for anywhere you want to go today. You could drive coast to coast in this car. . . it is fantastically reliable and very comfortable.
One of the reasons I bought this car in the first place is that I have worked on enough cars to know what is easy to maintain and what is not.
This car is a breeze to work on, and dirt cheap to maintain. . . you can do everything yourself and parts are available everywhere. I will even throw in a spare used alternator and spark plug wires, and belts with the car in case anything ever goes down on the road. (Like I said, all the parts are new but stuff happens)
I also will throw in a brand new set of rear shocks that I tried but where a little stiffer than I liked. If you plan on carrying heavy loads in the car, you could install these shocks. They have been installed and run for only a week.
Go anywhere you like in absolute luxury, in classy American style without fear of break downs!

Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?
Sun, Jul 9 2023The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric. Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands. If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla. Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor. Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have: Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
