2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars

We have here a really nice 2002 Camaro Z28, it is a 35th Anniversary Special Edition (LS1 5.7L V8 Corvette Engine). Very Nice inside & out, clean, adult owned and operated AZ car, super fast, well cared for & properly maintained. Has less than 123k original miles, runs great, Automatic, Power Steering/Brakes/Windows/Locks/Driver Seat/Tilt Wheel/Cruise Control, T-Tops, Tinted Glass, Orig Engine & no body mods, hubby switched out the cold air intake (not because there was anything wrong with orig but because he preferred this one instead. Everything is in great working order mechanically and all power options work great too. A/C works awesome (ice cold), tires are almost new, all weather stripping in great condition, no cracks in dash or door panels, has factory alarm & factory alloy wheels. Exterior is a burgundy color (previously repainted prior to our owning it) and interior is black...when we originally first got the car it had a light dove tail grey or kinda tannish color interior with leather seats but the condition of the front seats weren't very good so my husband decided to completely switch out & replace the entire interior to black (well technically I personally would call it a very dark charcoal greyish black lol) but the hubby says its black so now the carpet/roof/seats are black (seats are now cloth)...the inside door panels & seat belts are still currently the orig color because due to his busy work sched he has not had a chance to get around to locating & switching those out yet to match the rest of the interior (again which is currently now black) it is my understanding per my husband both (door panels & seat belts) will be easy switch outs and should be fairly inexpensive especially for a do it yourselfer. (or you could decide not to switch them out at all- other than color not matching perfectly there's really nothing wrong with current ones.) My husband bought this car with the intention of it being his toy so I'm sure there would have been a ton of other stuff that he would have chosen to do to this car had I given him the chance lol Oh & he also switched out the original factory stereo and has replaced it with a brand new 340 Watts 4 channel BOSS Audio Systems Stereo, it's nothing too fancy or expensive but it gets the job done & has the following specs/options: MP3 audio output compatible, Bluetooth, Audio Streaming, USB, SD, Aux front, Motorized Monitor & Detachable Face, Digital LCD, Touch Screen, R.D.S., Wireless Remote Control. (Plays CD/DVD) still have orig box it was purchased in & can give it to buyer if you want. We also have a pair of T-Top sun shades that will be included as well. This is a 12 yr old vehicle so it is not in new or show room condition, and while the paint is in fact in nice condition there is some slight fading here & there in the clear coat mainly and some fairly small nicks/chips & or slight scratches in paint from normal wear & tear and from being on the roadways...there is also an aprox nickel to quarter sized chip/nick in the windshield near driver's side that occurred very recently...we were thinking to having it either repaired or replaced through our ins but have decided to hold off due to the possibility of selling the car. Pics currently uploaded are all fairly recent & accurately display current condition of car with exception to the missing chip in the windshield as that just very recently happened and we didn't already have a pic of it prior to creating this ad, currently the lighting outside is not ideal but we will take one tomorrow and have it ready...we will try to switch that pic out with one of the other pics as we are currently at our pic maximum or can email/msg it upon request as well. Note the pic that shows the control panel lights & odometer reading- you can see that along with other lights that the chk engine light happens to be lit up, as I am sure many of you may know all lights come on when the key is turned to the on position without actually starting the engine...we took this pic to show the odometer reading...the chk engine light is not on as a norm so rest assured that is not an issue. Thx! Truth is this is my husband's car, he loves* loves* loves it lol But wife (me) does not like the idea of a fast car or the ins rates on the car lol I recently purchased a very nice older Mercedes in hopes that my husband would keep the Mercedes and sale the Camaro...after much protest (foot stomping really lol) on his part he has finally agreed to a compromise...basically we list both cars and which ever doesn't sale he will keep. This car is truly nice & truly fast & truly an awesome car but it's truly not the type of car I personally care for him to have. Chevy Bolt will go into production in Michigan in 2016 [UPDATE]
Fri, Feb 6 2015While nothing official has been announced, it appears that General Motors may actually put the all-electric Chevy Bolt into production next year. That's the rumor that Reuters is reporting, citing two sources at suppliers for the upcoming $30,000 EV (although that $30,000 number bears some scrutiny). This rumor does fit in with earlier comments that the Bolt would arrive on the market in 2017. If it gets built, the Bolt will share more than a similar-sounding name with the Chevy Volt: the EV will be put together in metro Detroit. Reuters says the 200-mile electric car (and an Opel version) will be made in "an underused small-car plant north of Detroit," which means the Orion Township plant. GM could make between 25,000 and 30,000 Bolts a year there, if what the suppliers are saying is true. We have asked GM for a statement on this story and will update it if we hear back. UPDATE: General Motors manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, told AutoblogGreen that, "Bolt EV Concept is just that – a concept. We're currently evaluating the vehicle program, but do not have any production announcements to make at this time."
Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
Junkyard Gem: 2005 Chevrolet Aveo LS Sedan
Sun, Jun 14 2020The story of Daewoo in North America took some interesting plot turns over the decades. First we had the 1988-1993 Pontiac LeMans, a rebadged Daewoo LeMans. A bit later, Daewoo began selling cars under its own nameplate here, with the Lanos, Nubira, and Leganza available for the 1999-2002 model years. Then Daewoo fled the continent and left warranty service of those cars in the hands of Manny, Moe, and Jack. With GM taking over Daewoo Motors after Daewoo's bankruptcy, we got some Daewoos with Suzuki badges here— the Verona and the Reno— while Chevrolet began selling the South Korean-built Daewoo Kalos as the Aveo for the 2004 model year. This car may not be a gem in the sense that you would want to own one, but it's a gem of automotive history and thus deserves its place in this series (especially because it's one of the rare 5-speed cars sold here). Many (maybe even most) of these cars ended up in the hands of rental-car companies and other fleet users, but we can tell from the three-pedal setup that this car went to a non-fleet buyer. We've had a couple of these cars compete in the 24 Hours of Lemons, where I work as a dignified and respected race official, and they've been amazingly quick on a road course in the hands of good drivers. Power came from this 103-horsepower Opel-designed four displacing 1.6 liters. The Nubira and Lanos got versions of this engine on these shores, too. The LS was the top trim level for the Aveo in 2004, so this car got air conditioning and a halfway decent audio system (by 2004 standards). The seat fabric is industrial-grade stuff, which would have held up well under the steady drip and/or torrents of bodily fluids coating the interiors of rental cars. The 2004 Aveo LS started at $12,045, which comes to about $16,675 in 2020 dollars, so it was a lot of commuter-appliance for the price. The following generation of this car became the Chevrolet Sonic, beginning with the 2012 model year. You can still buy a new Sonic, and the inflation-adjusted price is nearly identical to that of the original AveoÂ… though you might want to move fast if you really want one, because Daewoo stopped selling the Kalos in South Korea not long ago. If you want the rarest member of the Aveo family available in North America, find yourself a hen's-teeth Pontiac G3, the short-lived Pontiac-badged version. Speaking of the G3, here's the way it broke the hearts of gas pumps around the world.
