This is a second owner car but was titled under three different names. the original owner died and her son titled it under his name then sold it to me. new alternator, starter, battery, fpr, o2 sensor, front suspension struts and windshield. motor runs good no smoke drips knocks or ticks of any kind. The 700-r4 transmission is perfect and was rebuilt using a borg warner master kit two or less months ago. needs headliner and driver seat to be re upholstered. dash pad is cracked. no hits or dents just has two minor dings that are hardly noticeable. the under body looks brand new and has no bends hits rust or tweaks. the car is all original including the exhaust. Ecm has a stored code of 43 which is the knock sensor circuit. when the car is cold it runs perfect. as the motor gets up to 200 + degrees it begins to idle rough. its has the factory 190 thermostat and the fans turn on too late in my opinion however thats how the factory intended it to be. if you lower the thermostat temp and use the jetchip.com fan switch the car should stay running at a low temperature. when in heavy traffic, while the motor is at idle it has stalled however i put the transmission in neutral and start the motor at ease, turns right back on everytime. these issues only happen on occasion and never while on a highway. it only happens at idle as mentioned. the ac works and is still running the factory r12 gas, however the fan motor has to be tapped in order to get it to spin. the ignition key cylinder has to be pushed in to turn the key as it has a little bit of play.. the steering column has some play at the steering wheel joint but the steering is nice and tight and turns on a dime. steering box shows no sign of play while driving. the interior carpet needs to be replaced because the driver side of carpet has been completely worn through as a result of the spikes on the bottom of the factory gm floor mats. The tachometer does not work. The car has never been raced, wrecked, or beaten on. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me at 3054672131. For more pictures call me or send me your email at onlyridechevys@yahoo.com. buyer is responsible for pickup and delivery of the vehicle. For payment, a direct wire transfer to my account is required or cash. no cod or checks will be accepted. if you would like to discuss other payment options feel free to call me. No returns or refunds.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.
Where the 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X fits into the hierarchy of off-road trucks
Fri, Oct 22 2021The world of off-road pickups sure seems like it's getting crowded, but the reality is that half-ton trucks were always pretty capable, even with what seemed like fairly basic 4x4 packages. It wasn't until recently that manufacturers really started to carve out different off-road niches for their mainstream pickup offerings. With the introduction of the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X (alongside its mechanical twin, the Chevy Silverado ZR2), the crowd has grown even thicker. Even we have trouble keeping up with the increased segmentation of off-road pickup trucks, so we threw together this handy guide to help you understand just where these various packages fit into the broader pickup hierarchy. Let's dive in. Your basics If we say "Z71" or "FX4" to you, both will probably ring a bell. That's because they've been around a few days short of forever and their respective customers have grown so used to these package codes that OEMs got into the habit of just plastering them on the side of so-equipped truck beds. Anybody who sells a pickup truck offers some sort of basic off-road prep package like this one. Z71 is found on GM vehicles; FX4 is Ford's. Ram just calls it "Off Road Group," but no matter what you call them, they're all pretty similar. Typical upgrades for this category include some additional ground clearance, a basic all-terrain tire, heavy-duty suspension upgrades and likely either a limited-slip or locking rear differential. These are pretty handy for anything beyond a rutted dirt road. On newer trucks — especially on higher trim levels — you'll probably also get some dedicated off-road drive modes. Mid-range This is where things start to get interesting. To qualify for this category, a locking rear differential is a must. Most of the names in this segment are well-established too, though some (Nissan Titan Pro-4X, anyone?) may not necessarily be on your radar. The Toyota Tundra TRD Pro checks in here, as does the Ram Rebel, Chevy Silverado Trail Boss and GMC Sierra AT4 (no X!). Realistically, if there's somewhere you need to go and one of these trucks won't do it, you might want to consider a helicopter. But it's 2021, and our thirst for capability is strong, so of course, there's a way to spend more of your money on this type of thing. Onward! Entry-hardcore Here we are, the home of the new 2022 GMC Sierra AT4X and Chevrolet Silverado ZR2. This is a tiny niche, otherwise occupied only by the Ford F-150 Tremor.
