Here we have a Clean 1989 IROC Z28 Tuned Port Injection 5.7L / 5-Speed Transmission car, and it is loaded out with full power and cold AC. Everything on the car works, and it drives great down the road, with minimal wind noise if any. All the T-Top rubber is good, and they seal tightly to the body, so it doesnt have your typical windnoise issues.
This is a Charcoal color car, but it really looks Black, so dont let the pictures fool you.. Overall the paint is in great driver condition, and it shines nicely.. It does have some typical blemishes due and ding or two, but for its age the car looks very very nice. All the interior is in absolutely Nice to Excellent shape, and the only real issue with the interior is some minor carpet fading here or there.. The seats are nice and clean, with no fading or wear, along with the door panels.. The Dash is all in great shape also, but has had the Hard Dash Cover installed at one point, but it was done right, so it looks great.
Everything on the car is pretty tight, and it has had new struts installed a few months ago, so there arent any surprises there.. If you havent had any experience with these cars, they are normally rattle traps if they have been abused at all, and this car is very very solid. It doesnt have the squeeks or rattles in the interior that alot of these cars have, and it drives nicely and quietly down the road at highway speeds.
If you have any questions about this car, or need any additional pics or information, dont hesitate to message.. It isnt very often clean versions of the IROC Z28's come out, and this is a very very respectable car, that is completely road worthy.. All the tires are in great shape, and the factory wheels are in great shape also, but could use the IROC Decals for the center caps, which are available very cheaply here on Ebay..
I also have a very reputable transport guy that I have used, and he is normally about half of what the Ebay Shippers quote, so I would be happy to share that information with serious buyers, so you can get a complete purchase and shipping quote with no surprises.. Look at my Ebay Feedback, and you will see in my Hobby Cars that I have sold, I have tried to represent them as honestly as possible, and I have a 100 percent feedback and comment with those sales.
On Mar-17-13 at 16:53:33 PDT, seller added the following information:
Here is a YouTube Video link to a walk around of the car, while it is running.. The red light on the dash, is the Emergency Hand Brake Lever, and all other lights function and are off..

Here’s how 20 popular EVs fared in cold-weather testing in Norway
Sat, Mar 21 2020Electric vehicles are known to suffer diminished performance in cold weather, but some do a better job than others hanging onto their range capacity while cabin heaters and frigid outdoor temperatures sap power from their batteries. Recently, the Norwegian Automobile Federation put the 20 of the best-selling battery-electric vehicles in the country to the test, to see not only how winter weather affected their range but also their charging times. The major findings: On average, electric vehicles lost 18.5% of their official driving range as determined by the European WLTP cycle. Electric vehicles also charge more slowly in cold temperatures. And interestingly, the researchers learned that EVs don’t simply shut down when they lose power but instead deliver a series of warnings to the driver, with driving comfort and speed levels maintained until the very last few miles. Because itÂ’s Norway, the worldÂ’s top market for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles by market share, the test included many EVs that arenÂ’t available here in the U.S. But there are many familiar faces, among them the Nissan Leaf, Tesla Models S, 3 and X, Hyundai Kona (known here as the Kona Electric) and Ioniq, and Audi E-Tron. In terms of range, the top-performing EV was the Hyundai Kona, which lost only 9% of its official range, which the WTLP rated at 449 kilometers, or 279 miles, compared to its EPA-rated range of 258 miles on a full charge. It delivered 405 km, just enough to nudge it ahead of the Tesla Model 3, which returned 404 km. Other top performers included the Audi E-Tron, in both its 50 Quattro (13% lower range) and higher-powered 55 Quattro (14% lower) guises; the Hyundai Ioniq (10% lower); and Volkswagen e-Golf (11% lower). At 610 km (379 miles) the Tesla Model S has the longest WLTP range of all models tested and went the furthest, but still lost 23% of its range, though it also encountered energy-sapping heavy snow at the end of its test, when many cars had dropped out. The Model 3 lost 28% of its range. The worst performer? That goes to the Opel Ampera-e, better known stateside as the Chevrolet Bolt. It traveled 297 km (about 184 miles) in the test, which was nearly 30% lower than its stated WLTP range. We should also note that Opel, now owned by Groupe PSA, is phasing the car out in Europe and that Chevy recently upgraded the Bolt here in the U.S.
Consumer Reports criticizes small turbo engines for misleading performance, fuel economy claims [w/video]
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Consumer Reports has taken aim at at small-displacement, forced-induction engines, saying the powerplants don't manage to deliver on automaker fuel economy claims. Manufacturers have long held that smaller, turbocharged engines pack all power of their larger displacement cousins with significantly better fuel economy, but the research organization says that despite scoring high EPA economy numbers, the engines are no better than conventional drivetrains in both categories. Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports, says the forced induction options "are often slower and less fuel efficient than larger four and six-cylinder engines."
Specifically, CR calls out the new Ford Fusion equipped with the automaker's Ecoboost 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The institute's researchers found the engine, which is a $795 option over the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, fails to match competitors in acceleration and served up 25 miles per gallon in testing, putting the sedan dead last among other midsize options.
The Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Sonata Turbo and Ford Escape 2.0T all got dinged for the same troubles, though Consumer Reports has found the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the BMW 328i does deliver on its promises. You can check out the full press release below. You can also read the full study on the Consumer Reports site, or scroll down for a short video recap.
