I am selling my 1970 Split-Bumper Chevrolet Camaro.

This car is bad ass! It is in very good condition and almost every sheet metal body panel has been replaced. There is no rust and it has a killer paint job! It also has very nice 20" wheels. It is almost completely restored and ready to go. Awesome muscle car

The motor is a 355 with flat tops. It has headers, a mild cam and some flowmasters exhaust. It sounds amazing! Not too loud, but definitely a lopey idle and hard American Muscle sound. Sounds very mean! I have some videos of the car running I would be happy to email to you, just let me know. The tranny has a shift kit in it and the shifter cable needs to be replaced, I current park it in Neutral with the parking brake. It will shift down to first, 2nd or 3rd no problem and there are no issues driving the car.

Just had a buddy post this video to YouTube for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdGDiou0EiI I'm happy to email a video of the car running and I will take a new video on the day I'm asked where I start the car, show the date and have the car take off so you can hear it and watch how she runs and how awesome she sounds!

The car is currently high geared (2.XX) so it runs good on the highway. It has brand new tires, brand new carpet and door panels. Also has a new dash pad and new rubber kit in the doors and trunk. It has new front and back inner fenders.

The car also has an aftermarket stereo system with new head unit, speakers and two 12 inch subwoofers. The guy who had the car before me put those in and I've only listened to the stereo system in the car one time because I LOVE the sound the motors makes in conjunction with the exhaust, cam and headers.

The car also has an L88 hood (which is sick!! you don't see many of these hoods and it definitely sets this car apart from other 2nd Gen Camaros).

The car has a relatively new paint job where you can still see your reflection clear as day! There is 1 paint chip on the driver door and a small crack (1 inch) in the paint near the rear window on either side. There is also a tear in the rear passenger side seat.

This is a car you can drive, as-is, to a car show and drive out with an award! Not many cars like this one around

I'm asking $18,500 but feel free to make me an offer. If you are interested, you definitely need to come and check the car out and drive it. She's awesome and a major head turner. I Might also be interested in trades too, just let me know what you've got. The car isn't quite perfect *yet*, but it's pretty close.

GMC Envoy could be returning as GM files for 'Envoy' trademark

Thu, Dec 27 2018

The GMC Envoy could be on its way back, if a recent GM trademark filing is any indication of the future. To be exact, GM's trademark filing is for the name "Envoy," and is applicable to "motor vehicles, namely, sport utility vehicles, engines therefor and structural parts thereof." A victim of the recession and high gas prices, the original Envoy – related to the Blazer, and more recently the TrailBlazer and similar GM SUVs – was discontinued after the 2009 model year. In today's SUV-happy market of low gas prices, unearthing the somewhat familiar Envoy name makes a certain amount of sense. As soon as gas prices start trending in the other direction, we'll all be saying the opposite, though. What this SUV will take shape as is the big question now. With the Chevrolet Blazer well and truly on its way, there's every reason for a GMC version of Chevy's stylish new crossover sporting the Envoy name. Another, less likely, possibility is a Traverse-sized vehicle to slot between the shorter Acadia (10 inches shorter than the Chevy Traverse) and the body-on-frame Yukon. GM could come out of left field and make the Envoy a Buick too. It fits the bill with the "En" beginning, and Buick undoubtedly has crossovers in the works. We think that's even more unlikely, but it's important to remember that we're still in the speculation phase. Soon we'll drive Chevy's new Blazer, and perhaps have more news then. Check in next week for that. Related video:

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.

2015 Chevrolet Trax

Thu, Dec 4 2014

After the obligatory product presentation for the 2015 Trax, I caught up with Steve Majoros, Chevrolet's director of marketing for crossovers and cars, and asked him to elaborate on which markets his planners believe will be the hot starters for this tiny CUV. Without much hesitation, Majoros began to click off traditional sales havens for Subaru, namely, New England and the snowy bits of the East Coast, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest. That news might not surprise you, but it did me. Perhaps it's something as basic as the Trax's tall-hatchback looks, or the emphasis Chevrolet put on the urban driving cycle during my test in San Diego. But before my chat with Majoros, I'd considered this a crossover pointed at the Millennial city mouse more than his bumpkin cousin. But a closer look had me re-examining the granola cred of Chevy's smallest crossover. Having spent my fair share of time in New England and around New Englanders, I started by mentally listing the Trax's Subaru-like traits: practicality, thrift, all-weather ability and, well, just a dash of ugliness. (I suppose a hatchback needn't always be ugly to sell in Maine, or Boulder or Portland... but a 'distinctive' face doesn't seem to hurt.) After a day of driving through sunny San Diego and its surroundings, I can say that Trax makes an interesting case for itself against the standard bearers of the L.L. Bean set, but I'm less sure of its argument for young urbanites. The Trax looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. Chevy's has downsized its own, rather conservative crossover styling to fit the proportions of the subcompact Trax; to my eyes, it looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. That's fine for offering a cohesive look for the Chevy family of crossovers, but it seems out of step with the rest of the segment. If the Trax's current competitive set were the cast of a high school-based TV show, the Kia Soul would play the lovable nerd, the Nissan Juke perhaps the outsider musician and the Subaru XV Crosstrek the athletic outdoorsy kid. Chevy may see the Trax as the hipster chick wearing intentionally ironic mom jeans, but to me the styling is a little too on the nose; more like an actual grownup trying to hang with the kids. These mom jeans are genuine. Per my earlier point, that quasi-conservative look may be just fast enough for staid New Englanders, but I have a hard time seeing the bluff, big-Bowtied front end playing in Bushwick or Wicker Park.
