1969 Chevrolet Camaro Rs Z28 on 2040-cars
Pennsville, New Jersey, United States
This 69 Camaro is finished in its original Fathom Green paint with white rally stripes which is flawless.
The original DZ 302 engine is long gone, but it is currently powered by a solid-roller 414/693hp small-block Chevy
engine with 620 ft/lbs of torque and an Auto Gear 4-speed manual transmission with McLeod dual-disc clutch.
The rear is a Moser 9’’ Ford with 4.11 gears. West Upper and Lower control arms and Calvert traction bars help
put the power down to the pavement.
To helped stop the car are 13’’ Baer disc brakes in the front and Wilwood discs in the rear.
The interior was restored to mostly stock except for gauges (installed in the glovebox) and a pair of Corbeau
racing seats.
The tires are 255/45ZR17 Goodyear Eagle F1’s on Budnik Custom Wheels. The tires have low miles with plenty of
tread.
This REAL Z/28 RS Camaro has the original Protect-O-Plate and original paperwork from GM of Canada. Also, the car
includes a binder with receipts from the restoration and paperwork/dyno sheets of the engine. Budnik custom wheels
Just over 3,000 miles on this build.
This is an amazing vehicle with well over $100,000 in restoration receipts!
The build quality is truly second to none.

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
