Hello you are bidding on a very nice 2013 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 with 29,250 miles. The truck runs and drives great. The truck sustained damage to the right side of the truck. The truck will need the following parts right cab corner section, right bedside, driver bag, both curtain bags, passenger seat bag, 1 wheel, 1 tire, and misc clips and mounting hardware. The vehicles interior is in great shape. The trucks original rear right rear door was damaged but we had one in stock that was the same color so we installed the good door and hinge on the truck, the door does open and shut ok. The frame appears to be in great shape. The parts are available at car-part or on www ebay com. The vehicle is for sale locally and we do reserve the right to end the auction early. The vehicle is being sold as is with TN salvage title. The truck is from TN good solid truck underneath. The front bumper on the left front has a dent in it. Truck being sold as is damaged. The right front door has some damage on it at the bottom that will need to be repaired. The used door we installed has good door panel on it. You will also need the door moulding that goes on the right rear ext cab door.

GM execs fired over fraudulent India emissions testing

General Motors hadn't had a recall in India since 1995. That changed when it was discovered that certain employees were playing tricks with local emissions testing in order to ensure passing grades for engines. More than ten GM Powertrain employees in India and the US have been let go over the ensuing emissions flap, including Sam Winegarden, VP of global engine engineering, a man who has been with the company since 1969, leading development of some marquee powerplants.
According to Automotive News, an internal investigation revealed that employees "violated testing procedures," sometimes swapping specially prepared low-emissions engines during testing regimes for the Chevrolet Tavera SUV equipped with the 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines. Employees were also manipulating weights in order to get vehicles placed into different emissions categories. The discovery has led to GM recall the 114,000 Taveras produced over an eight-year period and halting their production and sale.
The Economic Times of India reports that the issue is due to "a faulty component." GM has developed a solution to the issue, and once it is validated in testing and approved by the Indian authorities, the recalled vehicles will be fixed at dealers and production will resume.

Chevy Bolt interior spied for first time

Chevrolet is continuing work on its Bolt EV, but thanks to some public-road testing in what looks to be somewhere in Michigan, we've captured our first look at the new hatchback's screen-intensive dash. Looking like a blend of the Chevy Sonic with the new Volt, the Bolt's interior follows a simple formula, offering a digital display in place of the traditional instrument cluster alongside a large, prominent display in the center stack. Nothing too shocking, except for the fact that both displays look larger than what's in the Volt. What's most surprising, though, is the shifter. It looks almost BMW-like in appearance. There's a dedicated park button accessible by the driver's thumb, and we're guessing a trigger on the front that can toggle the lever forward into reverse and backwards into drive. The central display, meanwhile, looks like it's running some very different looking software, compared to Chevy's usual MyLink fare. We can't be sure whether this is simply some development software that's free of polish and not intended for production, or a look at a new form of Chevy's connectivity suite. Aside from some different wheels, the exterior of this prototype looks unchanged from the last round of spy photos we captured of the new Bolt. Sorry kids, no new exterior styling to show you today.
