For sale is my 1972 Chevrolet C10. It is a short bed. I had the engine changed to a 2005 5.3L and matching 4l60 transmission. I have since driven the truck 2200 miles. The truck drives great. Turn the key, it starts everytime. No carburetor to mess with. Modern fuel injection with overdrive transmission. You can drive this truck anywhere, it is that dependable. Truck has been lowered with springs. Dash cluster was replaced with Dakota Digital gauge assy. All gauges work correctly. New vintage a/c and heat was also installed and worked great all summer long. The 17 inch wheels and tires only have 500 miles on them. Recently aligned. The front brake rotors, pads, and hoses are new. All work has been professionally done.
The truck originally came from Arkansas. It is not a frame off restoration. But it is a well taken care of truck with newer paint. The paint is driver quality and the clearcoat has a nice shine. There are a few chips and scratches as I have driven this truck daily all summer. The carpet is new as well as door handles and mirrors. I have set a very reasonable reserve. I reserve the right to end the auction early as long as it has not reached reserve. Any questions email or call 8l6-694-1521 My name is Phil.

C8s, V8s and the 2022 Car, Truck and Utility of the Year | Autoblog podcast #712
Fri, Jan 14 2022This episode of the Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They kick off with an overview of the 2022 North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year award winners (spoiler: Ford did well). After that, they talk about GM's electric pickup strategy and whether a premium electric pickup from Cadillac makes sense. Then, they pivot to Mitsubishi and the future of the Ralliart nameplate. Will we ever get a fun, inexpensive enthusiast car from the Japanese automaker again? Then it's on to what Byron's had in the driveway for the past couple weeks, including a 2022 Chevy Corvette and a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Xtreme Recon. Plus, he talks about putting some new snow tires on his personal Jeep Wrangler for evaluation in Michigan winter. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. GM issues stop-sale order for 2024 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon pickups
Tue, Feb 20 2024General Motors has issued a stop sale for the midsize 2024 Chevrolet Colorado and 2024 GMC Canyon pickups due to software problems, the Detroit Free Press reported Tuesday. The newspaper had previously reported that trucks were piling up in GM's Wentzville Assembly holding lot. Well, now we know why. As happened with the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV late last year, the midsize pickups are grounded until further notice. While GM declined to reveal the nature of the software issues to the Free Press, we've seen the chaos inflicted by the company's current digital suite manifest in the Blazer's rocky launch. In some cases, those EVs were effectively bricked (whether permanently or temporarily) by glitches that plagued the infotainment. And because modern infotainment touches virtually every aspect of vehicle operation, what might sound like a trivial issue can quickly snowball. The Edmunds test vehicle produced "the single longest list of major faults" the outlet had ever seen. Some trucks have already shipped to dealers and will remain on hold there until serviced and released; it appears GM will continue to hold trucks at its Missouri production facility until they receive software updates to address the ongoing issues. GM did not provide a timetable for software fixes or the resumption of customer deliveries.   Â
GM cutting Chevy Sonic, Buick Verano production [UPDATE]
Sun, Jan 25 2015UPDATE: A previous version of this story indicated that Orion Assembly would be idled for seven weeks, from February 16 through April 6. This was incorrect. The factory will instead only be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6. The story has been edited to reflect this. General Motors has announced that the factory responsible for the Buick Verano and Chevrolet Sonic will be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6, with blame being placed on excess supply. The Orion Assembly plant, about 45 minutes north of GM's Renaissance Center headquarters, employs about 1,800 people, but they'll be given a pair of furloughs as inventories of the sub-compact Sonic and premium compact Verano reach 127 days and 84 days, respectively. That works out to 26,600 Chevys and 9,800 Buicks waiting for buyers. According to Automotive News, the compact Chevy sales bested the industry average in 2014, jumping up nine percent versus the the overall segment's eight-percent gain, while the Buick sedan's sales were down four percent. When asked about the shutdown, a GM spokesman told AN that it will "build to market demand," while also pointing out that the company did not comment on production plans.
