This two owner, rust-free truck was originally purchased new from Carpenter Chevrolet in Durham, North Carolina. Frame off restoration on this long bed pickup. Truck features factory installed air conditioning (blows cold), a new 350 ci Engine from Bobby Murray Chevrolet of Raleigh, NC, New Holley 4175 Carburetor and new radiator. Runs very cool, even here in the desert. (The Wyoming plates on the truck are only for show; the truck has never been to Wyoming.) Everything works: turn signals, dome lights, exterior lights, speedo, tach, heater, radio...all work as they should. ALL Brand new factory interior and carpet from LMC truck. Factory tach and new bench seat with factory material. All body work and paint has been completed. Original factory gold color. Three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power assisted brakes. Spray-on bed liner (tinted to match outside color). New shocks all the way around and new rubber. Special order Chevrolet chrome rally rims, new Chrome Bumpers (front and rear). Brand new tires with less than 100 miles on them. The total cost for parts and labor was $32,128.87. I have a binder full of documentation with all receipts proving what was done to the truck and that comes with purchase of this extraordinary truck. You will not find many in this outstanding condition. It runs and drives better than new. Fly into Vegas and drive it home. You could never build a truck for even close to what this truck eventually sell for. Most of these C10 classic trucks are either rust buckets or have been crushed or customized. Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed.
