1966 C-10 Chevy Long Bed Pickup.

Engine: Original 283. Runs great, doesn’t smoke or burn oil, just installed new valve cover gaskets. Motor, as well as everything else, has been refitted, replaced as needed. New electronic ignition, sending unit, gas tank (behind seat), U-joints, carrier bearings, brand new mufflers, etc. This one is a driver.

Original 3 speed on column. No power breaks or steering, no air, heater works fine. Everything works in the cab except the old cassette player which just recently went dead. New rubber in windshield and doors. Has 2 modern black seatbelts. New factory black carpet flooring.

Photos speak for themselves. This one is a real head turner. This truck has many features you just don’t see very often, from the old school tuck and roll, venetian blinds, sliding small glass window, beautiful; pin striping, not to mention all the chrome!

The bed is probably the most outstanding feature, judging from peoples remarks. The wood boards are walnut milled to fit, and coated with many coats of polyurethane, as well as the removable bed rails.

Accessories: See photos, removable walnut bed rails, removable back bed decal board, continental tire holder that contains an inner tube (these are installed for car shows.)

What this truck doesn’t have is a spare wheel/tire or Jack. One small rust place (that is painted,) on bottom of driver’s side door. Other than that, it’s just about flawless.

What this truck could use is a new fresh paint job. A new coat of paint would put this 1966 Chevy c-10 long bed into a bracket not many pickups get to enter.

Clear Arkansas title. Truck is in Fayetteville Arkansas.

Serious bidders can contact me first through the channels eBay has provided, then we can trade phone numbers. A $500 nonrefundable deposit will be required from the winning bidder at the end of the auction and full payment must be made within seven days.

Truck is sold as is, inspections welcome.

Trucks like this just don’t come up for sale that often (I have limited out on number of old vehicles per the wife, so goodbye you old beautiful blue truck)

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

2016 Chevy Volt auctioned off to help the robots

Tue, Nov 10 2015

One of the cool things about the 2016 Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in being auctioned off to raise money for kids' science and robotics program is that even the sedan's color sounds very scientific. Indeed, it's fitting that a "Kinetic Blue" Volt will be used to advance the scientific education of the country's students, according to Hybrid Cars. That is, if it fetches enough cash. Chevrolet parent General Motors was kind enough to donate a 2016 Volt to the so-called FIRST K-12 robotics program (FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). The program was founded in 1989. Last year, General Motors engineers worked with about 10,000 FIRST students in the US, but it looks like GM is now going the cold-hard-cash route to make its mark on future scientists. Bidding for the vehicle will take place until the morning of November 19, and, hopefully, it will generate enough interest to drive the bidding price up beyond its MSRP. As of Tuesday morning, nine bids had been taken, with the top one at $27,750. That's all fine and good except the car is pretty loaded with bells and whistles, and it's 53-mile electric-only range is a considerable jump from the first-generation Volt, so the car's "estimated value" is $40,245 (not factoring in the $7,500 federal tax incentive). That's a pretty good jump over the 2016 Volt's base price of $33,995, which marked a $175 price cut from the 2015 model. So pony up, folks. It's for the kids. Related Video:

Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon get trim levels reworked again

Sun, Mar 22 2020

GM Authority reports that GM has fiddled with trim packages on the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon for the 2021 model year, eliminating the base trims on both pickups and implementing small price changes. When the new model year goes on sale, the Chevy will lose the rear-wheel drive Base Extended Cab with the automatic transmission that starts at $22,395 after a $1,095 destination charge. The new entry-level is going to be the Work Truck model with the extended cab in rear-wheel drive, starting at $26,595 assuming the destination charge holds steady. That represents a $4,200 jump over the base 2020 model. MSRPs for the entire Work Truck lineup, from base to the Crew Cab Long Box, rise by $400. Elsewhere in the Colorado line, the four Z71 trims go down by $100, while the two ZR2 trims increase by the same amount. Only the six LT trims don't see any change.  The GMC side is a bit more involved due to previously announced changes. The 2020 Canyon comes in SL, Base Canyon, SLE, SLT, All Terrain, and Denali steps. Last month, GM Authority reported the 2021 Canyon would give all that up for the new names Elevation Standard, Elevation, AT4, and Denali. Since the SL base model retires in 2021, the Elevation Standard takes over at the entry level. Unlike on the Colorado, which sheds one trim, the Canyon lineup gets pared from 20 total combinations of trims, cab sizes, and bed lengths, to 14 total combinations. But like the Colorado, due to the loss of the cheapest configuration, the least expensive 2021 Canyon becomes $4,200 more expensive than in 2020, assuming the destination price remains the same. What's more, the 2021 Elevation Standard pricing adds $700 or $800 to the prices of the 2020 Canyon base and SLE models. There are more increases up the range. The 2021 Elevation trim replaces a combination of SLE and SLT models, bumping prices up by up to $900. In 2020, the least expensive All Terrain model is the Extended Cab Cloth for $37,695. For next year, the least expensive AT4 trim is the Crew Cab Short Box for $39,295. Like-for-like, though, the AT4 represents a $300 premium over the 2020 All Terrain Crew Cab Short Box. Three Denali trims will still stand at the top of the heap, each one going up by $400 in 2021. Until GM details the equipment changes, we won't know how the new pricing equates to value.
