WESTERN TRUCK, WITH MINIMAL RUST. HOOD IS VERY NICE, FENDERS, DOORS, ROCKERS, AND CAB CORNERS HAVE SOME VERY SMALL HOLES. TAILGATE AND THE BED ARE REAL SOLID. FLOORS CAN BE PATCHED WITH SOME SMALL PIECES. THE INNER ROCKERS, CAB SUPPORTS, AND CAB MOUNTS ARE VERY SOLID. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK TO RESTORE, BUT I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER PROJECT AND NEED THE MONEY. I LOOKED AT A LOT OF TRUCKS BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS ONE, AND THIS TRUCK IS BY FAR THE MOST SOLID OF ANY THAT I HAVE SEEN. THE CUSTOM WHEELS GO WITH THE TRUCK. THEY ARE AMERICAN RAICNG AND ARE BRAND NEW. TIRES ARE LIKE NEW. IT HAS A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY IN IT THAT I HAVE NOT TRIED TO START, AND I BELIEVE THE ORIGINAL CAST IRON POWERGLIDE. THIS TRUCK IS NOT RUNNING, BUT I WILL HELP TO LOAD IT IN ANY WAY I CAN. IT IS MISSING MOST OF THE TRIM, WHICH I WAS GOING TO BUY NEW ANYWAY. AND THE BACK BUMPER IS MISSING. EVERYTHING ELSE IS THERE. IT WILL BE SOLD AS IS, WITHOUT A WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE CALL 217638 9206, AND I WILL BE GLAD TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TRUCK.

Camaro SS, Hellcat Widebody, and an Airstream camper | Autoblog Podcast #545
Fri, Jun 29 2018On this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Green Editor John Beltz Snyder and Senior Editor Alex Kierstein. We talk about a lot of American stuff, including the Chevy Camaro SS 1LE and the new Blazer, Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody, Ford's new train station and a diesel F-150 towing an Airstream trailer, as well as some Tesla pickup news. Somehow the Kia Stinger also made its way into this red, white and blue episode (because it's great, and it's our new long-termer). This week, we try something a little different in the "Spend My Money" segment. Autoblog Podcast #545 Your browser does not support the audio element. Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
Burt Reynolds' vehicles up for auction at Barrett-Jackson
Tue, Sep 25 2018Burt Reynolds' influence on car culture cannot be overstated. Be it "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Cannonball Run," his films inspired a generation of car enthusiasts. He died a few weeks back from cardiac arrest at age 82. This weekend, four vehicles from Reynolds' personal collection — three Pontiacs and a Chevy — will go up for auction at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas. It seems Reynolds had plans to sell the cars before he passed. He even filmed a short teaser for the auction and planned to attend the event himself. Three of the cars are Pontiac Trans Ams. Two are re-creations of the cars he drove in "Bandit" and the film "Hooper." Both are 1978 models. The third Trans Am is from 1984 and was used to promote Reynolds' USFL team, the Tampa Bay Bandits. The fourth vehicle is a 1978 Chevy R30 pickup truck. It's styled like the truck he drove in "Cannonball Run." None of the vehicles were actually used in the movies. But they were registered in his name, making them far more legitimate than some other movie-inspired clones. It's unclear how many Bandit Trans Ams Reynolds has owned over the years. Another car connected to him sold for $450,000 back in 2014. His death is sure to drive the price of these new cars even higher.
