This vehicle is in very good shape. The engine runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly. The front brakes were just recently done as well as a direct replacement catalytic converter (full bolt in unit not a universal) both within the last 6 months. Tires only have a couple thousand miles on them and are in great shape.
Exterior is excellent with only a few minor blemishes. The rear bumper has one dent on the driver side with some scratches in it, but is not very noticeable. The windows have factory tent on them. GM did not put tent on the front two windows, but all other windows do have tent. I have put window vent visors and a matching bug deflector on this truck. I also had Westin chrome step bars put on it. It looks really good and it has been taken good care of over the years.
Interior shows signs of minimal wear, mostly on the leather of the driver seat. I have a seat pad to cover driver seat; all other seats are in great shape.  The carpet could use a good cleaning but has no holes or burns. The cargo area cover feels a little bit loose but still functions well and looks good. No fading or cracking. The Kenwood CD changer was installed before I bought it and I have never used it so I don't know if it works or not. I'll try to remember to find a cd so I can test it. This vehicle was very well optioned and has been taken good care of.
I have the vehicle for sale locally too so I reserve the right to take vehicle down before end of auction. If you want to see and inspect the vehicle I would be more than glad to let you come by. My name is Seth I may be reached at 843-870-8691 or seth.davis@live.com with any questions.

This 450-hp electric Lotus Evora is powered by Tesla and Chevrolet

Tue, May 9 2017

When someone mentions an electric Lotus, the first thing that comes to mind is the Tesla Roadster, the California-based automaker's first vehicle. That car started life as an Elise before being heavily massaged and adapted by Tesla's engineers. In a similar spirit, the people at Onpoint Dyno are close to finishing Blue Lightning, a track-ready all-electric Lotus Evora. Blue Lightning uses a Tesla drive unit and a Chevrolet Volt battery pack, both mounted in the middle in place of the Evora's 3.5-liter Toyota V6. It's putting down about 450 horsepower at the wheels. The car was built for time attack sessions, so power is fed through custom forged wheels and super sticky Pirelli PZero Trofeo R tires, the same ones found on the last Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. There is a custom digital instrument cluster in place of the Lotus gauges. There's also a regen paddle on the left side of the steering wheel. With a full charge, Blue Lighting should go about 120 miles. While the car runs under its own power, it's only about 90 percent complete. It has no power steering, no firewall in between the seats and the motor and battery pack, no A/C, and a large hole where the shift lever used to be. Other final touches include fine-tuning the brakes and suspension. There is also a custom rear bumper coming that should make it look more like the new Lotus Evora 400. Onpoint Dyno expects the car to hit the track in the next month or so. Related Video:

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

Hillary Clinton takes to campaign trail in a van called Scooby

Wed, Apr 15 2015

It still seems way too early to even starting thinking about the 2016 presidential election, but candidates are already throwing their hats in the ring. Among the officially announced hopefuls so far is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To kick off her run for office, she recently embarked on a long-distance road trip from her home in New York to the campaign battleground of Iowa. Rather than a limo, she was driven there in a conversion van (pictured above) that Clinton named Scooby after Hanna-Barbera's famous, mystery-solving dog. According to Yahoo Autos, the vehicle itself is a Chevrolet Express that has been customized by the Explorer Van Company, and Time says that it's also armored. Clinton isn't behind the wheel, though. All those years in public office mean that the Secret Service does the driving. Of course, the vehicle in Scooby Doo was named the Mystery Machine, and Scooby was mostly brown, not black. To explain the somewhat odd naming, Clinton traveled around in a brown van during her 2000 Senate campaign in New York, and it earned the nickname Scooby, according to Time. Apparently, the moniker has stuck for her latest ride. If the start of the Clinton campaign seems early, she isn't the first White House hopeful to arrive in Iowa this year. A bunch of possible Republican candidates already met at summits in the state at least twice to gain favor ahead of the caucus there. No word on what they were driving...
