1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop Pro Touring
You are viewing a completely restored 57 Hardtop. The car is fresh in like new condition. Super nice and a high end professional build with all the Pro Touring components expected on a build like this. Allot of time and money was spent building this car to the level it represents. The pictures don’t do it justice.
Please read on for more particulars of the car:
Body/Paint: The body was soda blasted and brought down to bare metal. Front fenders are aftermarket and
customized with a 2 inch headlight eyebrow extension. Fender gills removed along with the Chevrolet emblems front
and back. New door skins, original quarters with small patch panels welded were needed lower rear behind the
wheel. Rockers replaced as well as the inner fenders replaced with lightweight fiberglass replacements. Rear was
mini tubbed with fiberglass inner fenders. The body was undercoated, waxed, seam sealed the entire skeletal
structure of the car. The body was fabricated and mocked up properly providing a solid base for the high end
Glasurit black paint by Sikkens, which is a Mercedes Benz color. Multiple coats of primer blocked with multiple
coats of paint with multiple coats of clear and wet sanded providing a deep flat mirror finish and buffed to a high
gloss. Super nice body and paint. Stainless steel gas tank.
Interior: The entire interior is done in all pebble grain black leather as well as the trunk. The buckets are out
of a Pontiac Grand Am. Ididit polished tilt column. Rear seat is an original narrowed 2 inch on each side due to
the mini tub. Power steering, power brakes, power wing windows, power windows front and back. Single disc CD
stereo with blue tooth. Two each 6X9 speakers in the rear package shelf as well as a single speaker on dash.
Custom Classic instruments gauge cluster including speedo, tach, temp, oil pressure and fuel. Cold Vintage Air AC
with heater. Steering wheel was made to match the custom wheels.
Running Gear: The engine is a factory 2014 LS3 510 horse out of a brand new Corvette with only a few miles that
was wrecked. Carbon fiber engine cover with ceramic coated headers. Griffith HD aluminum radiator with dual
electric puller fans. The transmission is a 4L65E 5 speed overdrive with Lokar shifter out of the same Corvette.
Rear end is a Strange 9 inch with 373 gears, posi.
Suspension: Art Morrison custom frame powder coated black using a LS kit for engine mount etc. Front is a power
rack set up with coil overs. Rear end is a 4 link coil over set up. All for an adjustable ride. HD sway bars.
The suspension and frame is very stout and handles extremely well.
Bright work: All bright work is outstanding. Stock gold grill and quarter inserts changed to silver with emblems
removed.
Glass: Replaced, tinted.
Exhaust: Full ceramic headers with 2.5 stainless pipe and Flow Master mufflers.
Brakes: Wilwood disc brakes all around with 13 inch slotted rotors with braided stainless lines. Stock Corvette
master cylinder.
Wheels/Tires: The wheels are Budnik custom offset polished aluminum. Tires are Toyo Proxi. 245/45/ ZR17 front
and 275/40/ZR18 rear. The car has a solid stance.

Chevrolet offers versions of its Express passenger van with B20 biodiesel and E85 capability. Customers can buy the van with the Duramax turbodiesel V8, which is compatible with the 20-percent biodiesel blend. There is also a FlexFuel V8, which can use the 85-percent ethanol gasoline blend. It's a great option for shuttling the whole soccer team to practice using renewable fuels. Read more at Domestic Fuels. Early buyers of the Cadillac ELR in Canada will get a 240-volt charger installed at their home for free. It should help convince some buyers to adopt the range extended luxury EV. Cadillac's Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus says, "Professional installation of the fastest home-charging unit is a natural way to mark the introduction of ELR to the luxury market." Read more in the press release below. Renovo has received venture capital funding from California-based True Ventures to build its Coupe electric supercar. The impressive EV, with its 500 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque, is an inspiring vehicle built by a promising company, according to its financial backers. Toni Schneider of True Ventures says that Renovo has "created incredibly advanced technology and a beautiful machine that is well positioned to disrupt the automotive market." Read more in the press release below. Renault says it will build its Fluence ZE electric car in China for an unnamed brand, pending government approval. Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn announced the plan at a test drive event in France on Monday. Renault has a partnership with Dongfeng Motors to build and sell its cars in China. Read more at Reuters. Germany has lifted its ban on Uber. While the German court believes the ride-hailing service is operating illegally without proper licensing for drivers, it says Taxi Deutschland waited too long to file the case against Uber. A new report from UC Davis claims that a global expansion of public transit could save 1,700 megatons of carbon dioxide yearly and over $100 trillion by 2050. A "high-shift scenario" would be necessary, wherein governments invest in rail and clean buses, expand biking and walking infrastructure and shift focus away from projects that encourage car use. GM admits goal of 500,000 EVs by 2017 won't be met

After a little over four years of Chevy Volt sales, General Motors has a better handle on how many people it expects will buy cars with plugs. And it's less than the company thought back in 2012, when then-senior vice president of global product development, Mary Barra, said that GM expected to sell 500,000 "vehicles with electrification" by 2017. In a sustainability report released this week, GM says that half-million vehicle target will not be met but that it still, "believes the future is electric." In the report, GM says that, "For our commitment to electrification, our forecasted outlook currently projects us, along with the broader automotive industry, falling short of expectations for 2017. ... We continue to aspire to our stated goal." GM's electric lineup includes the Volt, the recently popular Spark EV, the slow-selling Cadillac ELR and upcoming Malibu Hybrid, CT6 plug-in hybrid and eAssist technology in the Buick LaCrosse and Regal. GM says it has 180,834 electrified vehicles on the road in the US today. In 2013, it had 153,034; 95,578 in 2012, and 39,843 in 2011. The company's next big plug-in vehicle will be the second-gen Chevy Volt, which is coming to market later this year, followed by the 200-mile Bolt EV coming, we think, in 2017. Ford GT dominates Le Mans qualifying, gets slapped with performance adjustment

Fifty years after Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon drove the Ford GT40 to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford is poised for a historic return to the Circuit de la Sarthe. The new Ford GT took the top two qualifying positions in the LMGTE Pro class, and four of the top five. Ferrari's 488 filled in the rest of the spots in the top seven, the first two from AF Corse. In other words, we're primed for a reboot of the classic Ford-Ferrari feud at this year's race. Or not, as the ACO, which organizes the 24 Hours of Le Mans, announced sweeping pre-race Balance of Performance (BOP) adjustments this morning that make this year's GT class anybody's race. In LMP1, last year's overall winner Porsche locked up the top two spots with the 919 Hybrid and will lead the entire field at race start. Toyota's two-car factory effort followed with qualifying times 1.004 and 2.170 seconds behind the pole lap. Audi rounds out the manufacturer-backed LMP1 class in fifth and sixth. Full qualifying results can be found here. The storyline for the GT cars is perfect - some say too perfect. Ford's class-leading times came after BOP adjustment to the Corvette Racing C7.R before qualifying. BOP is intended to level the playing field in the class by adjusting power, ballast, and fuel capacity. (Check out this explainer video for more, or even just if you love French accents.) But the process is riddled with unknowns and ripe for accusations of sandbagging. That is, if the Ford cars were intentionally slow in practice they could hope for BOP adjustment to improve their race chances. On the Corvette side, last year's GTE Pro winner went from the top of the field to the bottom, barely improving from practice to qualifying. If you think Le Mans is as rigged at the NBA Playoffs, well, it's not that simple. Because if Ford and Ferrari held back until qualifying - the eighth-place Porsche 911 RSR is three-and-a-half seconds off the class pole time - it was a pretty dumb strategy. This morning, the ACO tried to put things back in order by limiting the boost in the Ford GT's twin-turbo V6 and adding 11 pounds of ballast. Ferrari was also given extra weight but allowed more fuel capacity. The Corvette and Aston Martin teams were both given breaks on their air restrictors, which will allow their engines to make more power. Both Ford and Porsche also received extra fuel capacity.
