I am the second owner of this very nice, very clean 2006 Chevy Uplander. I bought it from a fellow firefighter friend who was extremely particular about his cars and we have been as well. This van is loaded with all the options. Power everything including power sliding doors. Heated Leather Seats, AM/FM CD player, DVD system with video game input, block heater, and much, much more. Includes a DVD system for the kids. Also, has a back-up alarm which is very nice. No mechanical issues, van runs perfect. Gets very good gas mileage. Interior is in near perfect condition. Previous owner covered carpet in the rear with a heavy duty plastic which we have left in place. Makes clean up with kids very easy! Has third row seating and can seat 7 very comfortably. Has Reese hitch which we used for a bicycle carrier. Exterior has some minor scuffs and scratches consistent with its age, but no damage. Tire are in great shape, very nice rims. This van has been a great vehicle for us and I know it will be for you as well. We have four kids and two are now in college so we are going to replace this van with a smaller car. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
