THERE ARE A FEW SMALL SCRATCHES ON THE TRUCK BUT NOTHING MAJOR. THE ENGINE IS A 6.6L DURAMAX WITH THE ALLISON 6SPD AUTOMATIC IT RUNS AND SHIFTS VERY WELL. I HAVE A EDGE GAUGE/TUNER INSTALED ON THE TRUCK AND IT HAS 25HP ADDED ON THE ECONOMY SETTING, ALSO I HAVE INSTALLED A MBRP 4" EXHAUST ON THE TRUCK AND IF YOU WISH I HAVE THE FACTORY EXHAUST STILL INTACT THAT CAN GO WITH THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK HAS 3:73 GEARS AND RUNS WELL ON THE HIGHWAY. THERE ARE 6 NEW 235-85-16 LOAD E MASTERCRAFT COURSER CT TIRES ON THE TRUCK WITH ABOUT 3,000 MILES ON THEM. THERE ARE FIFTH WHEEL RAILS INSTALLED ON THIS TRUCK AND IT HAS THE FACTORY TOW PACKAGE AND A REESE PILOT ELECTRIC BRAKE CONTROLER. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK USED WITH 24000 MILES ON IT IT TEXAS AND I HAVE CHANGED THE OIL EVERY 5000 MILES WITH SYNTHETIC OIL AND FILTER. FUEL FILTER HAS BEEN CHANGED TWICE SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT AS WELL AS THE SPIN ON TRANSMISSION FILTER AND AIR FILTER. THE BRAKES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE TRUCK IS VERY SOLID MECHANICLY AS IT SHOULD BE WITH THIS LOW MILEAGE. THERE IS A VERY SLIGHT LEAK FROM ONE OF THE TRANSMISSION LINES COMING FROM THE COOLER BUT I HAVE ONLY HAD TO ADD 1 QUART IN 10000 MILES. ALSO THE DIMMER ON THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH TAKES SPELLS WHERE IT WILL BRIGHTEN THE DASH LIGHTS ON ITS OWN. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE ANEW HEADLIGHT SWITCH WOULD FIX THAT. THESE ARE VERY MINOR ISSUES BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE KNOWN. I DO NOT HAVE A USE FOR THE TRUCK ANYMORE AND ITS A WASTE TO LET IT SIT AROUND SO I AM SELLING IT. THE TOOLBOX AND GOOSENECK HITCH IN THE PICTURES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. THIS TRUCK IS STILL BEING DRIVEN THEREFORE MILEAGE MAY CHANGE SOME. THIS TRUCK IS FINANCED THROUGH FIFTH THIRD BANK AND PAYOFF WILL HAVE TO BE MADE BEFORE THEY WILL RELEASE THE TITLE. IF YOU WILL BE FINANCEING THIS VEHICLE YOUR BANKAND MINE WILL WORK OUT THE DETAILS. THANK YOU FOR VIEWING !!!

2016 Chevy Volt rated at 106 MPGe, 53 miles of pure EV range
Tue, Aug 4 2015Following a string of rumors, Chevrolet and the Environmental Protection Agency have released official fuel economy numbers for the second-generation Volt. As was reported earlier today, the new and improved hybrid will cover 53 miles on pure electric power. As Chevy tells it, first-gen Volt owners cover about 80 percent of their mileage on EV power alone, so the 40-percent increase from the second-gen should lead to an even bigger reduction in gas-powered Volt mileage. Chevy expects some 90 percent of mileage to come from a plug with its new 2016 model. This newfound EV range comes thanks to the 2016 Volt's 18.4-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery. Rated at 106 MPGe by the feds – exactly what was promised by a June leak – the 2016 Volt improves nicely on the current model's 17.1-kWh, 98-MPGe battery back. There's also a marked improvement when relying on the gas-powered on-board generator. The 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine will happily run on regular fuel and return a still-impressive 42 miles per gallon combined rating once the battery's state of charge is depleted. Expect the freeway to cruise to be even better, although Chevy isn't ready to say by how much. Fully charged and with a full tank, drivers should expect to cover 420 miles, a 40-mile improvement over the current model. Scroll down for the official press release from Chevrolet Related Video: The Results Are In: More Range for the 2016 Volt EPA-estimated pure electric range is 53 miles DETROIT – The 2016 Volt is engineered to offer customers more of what they want: range, range and more range. The Volt's all-new second-generation Voltec extended range electric propulsion system delivers 53 miles of pure EV range, based on EPA testing. That is nearly a 40-percent improvement over the first generation Volt. Chevrolet expects many next-generation Volt owners will use power solely from their battery for more than 90 percent of trips. Today, Volt owners use battery power on 80 percent of their trips. This means that the average Volt owner may expect to travel well over 1,000 miles between gas fill ups, if they charge regularly. For the first 53 miles, the Volt can drive gas and tailpipe-emissions free using a full charge of electricity stored in its new 18.4-kWh lithium-ion battery, which is rated at a combined 106 MPGe, or gasoline equivalent. When the Volt's battery runs low, a gas-powered generator seamlessly operates to extend the driving range for a total of 420 miles on a full tank.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
A conversation with GM's Mark Reuss on MPG, aluminum and Corvettes
Wed, Feb 19 2014There was plenty to talk about when General Motors hosted its annual mid-December holiday media reception a few months ago. GM had just decided to pull its global Chevrolet brand out of major European markets, where Chevys have competed directly with GM Europe Opel and Vauxhall vehicles, and the US government had sold its last remaining shares of GM stock. But most important was the company's just-reshuffled leadership. Post-bankruptcy CEO Dan Akerson had announced that he would step aside and that 52-year-old Mary Barra would replace him on January 15. Not only would she be the first woman to lead a major automaker, she would also be GM's first engineer CEO since Bob Stempel in the early 1990s. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors" - Mark Reuss Replacing her as executive VP for global product development (and purchasing and supply chain) would be 49-year-old Mark Reuss, who had served a stellar four years as North American president, and elevated to corporate president (from executive VP and CFO) would be 42-year-old Dan Amman. All three are relatively young auto enthusiasts who are liked and respected inside and outside the company, and their collective talents and experience are highly complementary. I've interviewed Barra and found her smart, personable and knowledgeable, though she carefully walks the corporate line in speaking and answering questions. I met and chatted with Ammann for the first time at that holiday reception, and he made a good first impression. But I've known Reuss for some time as a genuinely good guy and a highly capable and inspiring leader, and I believe he is exactly the right person for the global product responsibility once famously held by the outspoken, oft-controversial Bob Lutz. So I jumped at an opportunity to join a group interview of Reuss (with mostly business reporters) at the Detroit Auto Show in January. It was an interesting session of mostly good questions, which he answered with refreshing candor and humor. "I look at 2013 and 2014, as the retooling of General Motors," Reuss said. "We've taken down almost every plant in North America, converted and turned it this last year, and to do that with award-winning vehicles and pretty flawless launches is key. We have to keep the train rolling on great product, because the rest won't happen without the best product, period." A reporter asked whether GM was pushing big trucks, SUVs and Corvettes again because gas is cheap. "No," Reuss said.
