Custom 1995 S-10 with a 461hp 383 Stroker motor with NOS. This truck is perfect to say the least! I bought the truck and toke it down to the bare frame on blocks. Sand blasted and painted the frame, then built it from the ground up! EVERYTHING on this truck is new including most of the bolts to put it back together. This build was slow and meticulous, I built it in my spare time with the help of some friends and local shops over the course of 2 years. I have $50k in this and that is not including my 2 years personal labor. This is a show quality truck that was built to drive (and drive hard! it will handle it!) You can take this truck to the car show Saturday morning and the track Saturday night! I will touch on the high points of the truck because I could list PAGES of parts!

Exterior: New (Slick) Bright white paint, all LED and HID headlights and tail lights, cowl hood, Shaved tail gate handle, Bed Rug, 2 sets of wheels: (1) Custom staggerd wheels- 20x8 on front and 20x10 on rear Black with chrome accent and Nitto NT55R tires  . (2) Stock 2001 Camaro wheels that I had powder coated gloss black with BFG's on front wheels and Hoosier Drag radials on rear. All glass and weather stripping is new. everything to the windshield wiper arms and plastics are new. I ordered all exterior and interior parts new from LMC and I mean ALL!

Interior: All Black with grey trim on door panels. again all ordered new from LMC. If it wasn't available new it was re-covered or dyed to match. Custom gauge cluster built by local shop using all Auto-meter Gauges. Low back bucket seats, Ratchet shifter, Lap belts, Budnik leather wrapped steering wheel, Remote Nitrous controller, Nitrous purge button, and switch for electric exhaust cut outs, Kenwood Head unit with Navigation and remote, all alpine speakers. My intent was to make it feel like an "old school" from the inside with a touch of modern luxury's.

Engine: Custom built 461hp 465ft of torque  (neck breaker package) from United Racing Engine. New block, aluminum racing heads, Keith Black forged pistons and rods. APR rod bolts. Comp Cam, valve springs and lifters. Stainless Roller Rockers: 1.6 ratio. Custom built headers by local shop that was sent to Atlanta for coating. Custom dual exhaust with electric cut outs at header. Remote switch is in cab by head light switch. MSD Pro Billet ignition with Blaster coil and digital 6AL box., Victor JR single plane intake with custom built  AED 950 carb. Carb was built to spec for this motor. I could go on and on with parts......I have all receipts (3 ring binder full) and all build specs of motor. If you have questions let me know.

Transmission: Level 3 700R4 Trans  with B&M Ratchet shifter by Mad Dog Transmissions out of Atlanta. Then I had a TCI valve body and TCI Street/strip 3000 Stall converter (anti balloon-for nitrous) installed by local shop. This thing shifts HARD and FAST!

Nitrous System: Nitrous Express plate system good up to 300hp, NOS remote bottle opener and heater. All digital, all you do is press buttons, never have to get out and open bottle or check bottle temp. Nitrous express stand alone fuel system for nitrous with fuel presser regulator and one gallon tank mounted in bed of truck. This means you can run 93 octane in the fuel tank of truck and have race fuel ready for nitrous use in stand alone fuel system. MSD Digital AL6 box used for timing retard.

Rear end: stock GM 7.5: Has Auburn gear with Moser Axels

Suspension: QA1 fully adjustable coil overs in front and  2 inch drop leafs in rear ( no lowering blocks!!) with fully adjustable QA1 shocks in rear. Fully adjustable Comp Engineering Drag Links. This thing hooks on the street! SSBC drilled and slotted rotors and SSBC Calipers all around. with hydra boost break system

I know there is a ton of stuff I probably missed so If you have any questions just ask. I'm going to upload a couple of pics. If you are really interested send me a cell number to send pics. Its much easier than uploading on ebay.

I will conceder trades for RV's or Custom Bagger.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

NHTSA closes 4-year GM investigation, issues common sense advisory [w/video]

Thu, Apr 9 2015

Since January 2011, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has been investigating a possible problem with corroding brake lines in General Motors' GMT800-platform models, like the Chevrolet Silverado and Suburban and GMC Sierra, in states with salt on their roads in the winter. However, as opposed to launching a full recall of millions of vehicles, the government is issuing a common-sense safety advisory to all drivers in snowy states to keep their vehicle's undercarriage clean. It even has a video explaining things. "Older-model vehicles, often driven in harsh conditions, are subject to corrosion over long periods of time, and we need owners to be vigilant about ensuring they, their passengers, and others on the roads are safe," said NHTSA Administrator Mark Rosekind in the announcement of the end of the investigation. The agency was clear in its report that "brake line corrosion seen in the GM vehicles was not unique," and the government "has not identified a defect that would initiate a recall order." Instead NHTSA is advising drivers, especially those of vehicles from before 2007, to wash their vehicle's undercarriage in the winter and spring to remove salt or other de-icing chemicals. It also recommends regular checks by a mechanic to make sure everything is in proper order. According to the investigation documents, for just the GMT800 platform models, NHTSA found 3,645 complaints of brake line corrosion, which included allegations of 107 crashes and 40 injuries. The issue was found to be more common in vehicles over 10 years old. GM has released a statement (embedded below) that the company "supports the consumer advisory from NHTSA urging regular maintenance and care of brake lines on older vehicles." NHTSA Closes Investigation into Brake-Line Failures NHTSA 13-15 Thursday, April 9, 2015 Agency issues safety advisory on preventing undercarriage corrosion WASHINGTON – The Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) today issued a Safety Advisory and consumer video encouraging owners of model year 2007 and older trucks, SUVs and passenger cars to inspect brake lines and thoroughly wash the underside of their vehicles to remove corrosive salt after the long winter in order to prevent brake-line failures that increase the risk of a crash.
