1955 Chevy 3100 half ton short bed pickup with the desirable big back window and a 1957 hood. Clean, straight, solid truck just needing minor finishing. A magnet was stuck all over this entire body-it is very solid; the only place it showed work was done was the very lower cab corners, but these areas are finished, and appear good and well done. The paint is a satin Heritage red, with new VERY nice grey heavy vinyl upholstery and new grey carpeting. The engine is a strong running 350, with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Because of health reasons, I haven't been able to accomplish as much as I've wanted to do to finish this truck. Most of the no-fun stuff has already been done. I'll list below what has been done, as well as what is still needed....
Work done, a new parts installed, etc.:
Restored instrument cluster, restored window regulators, new inside door mechanisms, tilt column installed, beautiful new seat upholstery and new carpeting, new windshield installed, new glove box (needs installing), new door weatherstripping and window fuzzies (need installing), new exhaust, new rear fender welting (needs installing), new 1 wire alternator, plus the following NEW chrome parts already installed: Front bumper, rear bumper, grill, headlight bezels, tail lights, parking lights, windshield wiper bezels, tail gate chains, exterior door handles, window cranks and door handles, etc.
Still needs to be done:
Wiring the lights, horn, etc. (all the wires are labeled from the instrument cluster; wiring is done to start and run motor), bleed the brakes, install door weatherstripping and window fuzzies (included), level the bed, and some other things.
This is a very good, solid, very desirable body style pickup, just needing a few things finished- Almost all of the no fun stuff has been done. Call me (Joe) with any questions you may have at 801 455-2467 or 801 571-8580.
A paypal non-refundable deposit of $500 would be appreciated, with the balance paid by bank wire transfer or cash in person.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
Chevy, GMC have electric pickups coming. Is Cadillac next?
Fri, Jan 7 2022GMC already has an uber-expensive electric pickup in the Hummer EV. By now you've no doubt seen the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. It's a pickup. It's electric. It looks a little bit like an Avalanche. Hmm. You know what else was a pickup that looked a little bit like an Avalanche? Why, the Cadillac Escalade EXT, of course. Cadillac Escalade EV-T yes or no?https://t.co/R1AXThRzIG@therealautoblog @Cadillac — Byron "Don't do anything Byron says. Ever" Hurd (@Byron_AB) January 7, 2022 So, hypothetically, if Cadillac were to build an Escalade EXT with an upmarket interior, Super Cruise, a minimum of 300 miles of range, 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, a locking frunk and 5-passenger seating, plus all of the nifty doodads and gadgets we've already seen on the Silverado ... would it sell? OK, this isn't entirely hypothetical. In fact, I received a survey from Cadillac this morning asking just that. It's an interesting question. And it's one we're putting to you, the readers. So, what say you? Cadillac Escalade EV-T? Yes or no? Related video:
Chevy Bolt will go into production in Michigan in 2016 [UPDATE]
Fri, Feb 6 2015While nothing official has been announced, it appears that General Motors may actually put the all-electric Chevy Bolt into production next year. That's the rumor that Reuters is reporting, citing two sources at suppliers for the upcoming $30,000 EV (although that $30,000 number bears some scrutiny). This rumor does fit in with earlier comments that the Bolt would arrive on the market in 2017. If it gets built, the Bolt will share more than a similar-sounding name with the Chevy Volt: the EV will be put together in metro Detroit. Reuters says the 200-mile electric car (and an Opel version) will be made in "an underused small-car plant north of Detroit," which means the Orion Township plant. GM could make between 25,000 and 30,000 Bolts a year there, if what the suppliers are saying is true. We have asked GM for a statement on this story and will update it if we hear back. UPDATE: General Motors manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, told AutoblogGreen that, "Bolt EV Concept is just that – a concept. We're currently evaluating the vehicle program, but do not have any production announcements to make at this time."
