Up for auction is a used 2002 Chevrolet Impala (ex-police car).The vehicle runs and drives, but needs some repairs:

The engine check light is on as one of the 6 cylinders is misfiring (Bank 1). Runs rough on idle.
Will not pass emissions ( catalyst system efficiency below threshold (Bank 1).
Sometimes the key does not turn when starting the vehicle,but its an easy fix, just take the key out, invert it and the vehicle starts with no problem.
The AC needs recharging.
Has some scratches and scrapes (see pictures).
Broken passenger side mirror (see pictures).
Front tires 30% tread left (see pictures)

Spark plugs & wires and Catalytic converter replaced. Vehicle maintenance performed regularly as scheduled.
All other options and features function perfectly.

NOTE: The vehicle runs rough on idle, but at 25 mph and up the cylinder malfunction is hardly noticeable (runs smoothly).

GM expected to debut two new crossovers at Detroit Auto Show

Next month, General Motors is expected to debut two new crossovers at the North American International Auto Show. That's according to Automotive News and The Wall Street Journal, which reports that the successors to the aging Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain will finally make their debut. The two crossovers have been on sale since 2009 and 2010 respectively and are due for updates as the competition has newer models on the market. Both crossovers play in growing market segments where sales success is crucial for the respective brands. GM, and the automotive industry as a whole, has been shifting its focus towards crossovers in the last few years. The Traverse and the Terrain are some of the oldest SUVs on the market and are in dire need of an update. GMC's Acadia, the former corporate clone to the Traverse (and Buick Acadia), switched to a new platform in 2016. And the Terrain's platform-mate, the Chevrolet Equinox, was revealed a few months ago. Both the new Chevy and GMC models are expected to go on sale late in 2017 as 2018 models. Look for a follow up to the Traverse's sister, the Buick Enclave, to make an appearance soon. More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
