1969 Chevy Impala Wagon. Pretty clean vehicle for a 69. Car has a clear Georgia title. I bought this car with the intent of creating a show car but used it a cruiser. Everytime I take it out people ask if it is for sale so I figured I would put it up for sale and see what happens.
Exterior: Has a nice blue paint job that was done a few years ago but still looks really good. Flames are pinstriped on but the stripes have slowely started flaking off because they were not cleared over. Also hood and tailgate had same issues with pinstripes. Would not be hard to redo the stripes I just do not know of a striper locally. The car has a little bit of rust as seen in pics. The tailgate shows a little, the rain gutters have a small amount as well around the windshield where it was puller out, the hood vents and the passenger rocker panell as well. Trim is all there except the bottom pieces below the doors. They didnt look good with the paint. Bumpers look ok but show pitting and I would rechrome them. Roof rack has been removed but the mounts are still in place. Wheels are 18" in front and 20" in back. Front tires show some wear on insides but rears are really good. Both nittos 555s front and back. Tailgate can swing open as a door or flip down as a tailgate
Interior: The inside looks to be all original and in really good shape. All wood looks good. passenger arm rest and dash have some cracking. Headliner is sagging a little. I added alot of dynomat insolation between the 2 back seats as well as the rear panels and tailgate to keep my stereo from rattling. The tailgate and floor of rear have bedliner to also keep noise down a little. The tailgate glass still works ith a dash switch as well as one mounted in rear seaing area.
Stereo: JVC cd player was placed in as well as kicker 5x7 in center dash and kenwood tweats in front pillars. I made a enclosure/panel for 2 enclosed kicker 6x9's that sit between 2 rear seats but comes right out. Not permanate just needed a little more audio. 6X9s were about $200 pr and the tweeters were about $120 pr. Will include the additionla 5X7 kicker still brand new since there was only a spot for one in the dash from facctory.
Mechanically: Took pic before motor was cleaned to show how it normallly looks. does have a slow oil leak. Tried to video the exhaust to show a slight fog from it burning coolant but it is not that bad. It still cranks on first time when I crank it and drive it around once a week. I was going to replace head gaskets but I don't drive it enough to take the time or pay the money to do it. Motor is a small block 350. Tranny is also a 350 that works good but also has a small leak. Has a new Radiater, electric fan with a manual switch inside cab, new optima battery. Also has edlebrock carb and holley intake. Has a nice sounding cam and dual exhaust with i believe flowmaster mufflers. Original AC/heat car, but needs compresser and evaperater to complete. The heater needs hoses ran back to heater core.
Bad: horn does not work, fuel gauge does not work. could use front tires and maybe an alignment, and the head gaskets. I started to build a 427 to put back in this car but got to far in dollar wise.
If I was not military and moving every 2 years I would hold onto this, but I do not want to dish out 4000 for a trailer to drag it around the country
video leaks to attempt at showing the slight fumes from head gaskets. It is really hard to see but I am an honest man and want it to be clear that it runs fine but not always easy to see. I can have the head gaskets installed for an additional $600 if you chose.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray
Fri, 25 Oct 2013We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
Nissan Leaf has 2nd-best sales month ever, Chevy Volt does a 2013 repeat [UPDATE]
Tue, Apr 1 2014UPDATE: The official press release says that "Volt [sales were] up 7 percent," but Randy Fox let AutoblogGreen know that this is simply due to a change in the fleet/retail mix between March 2013 and 2014. The actual number sold was exactly the same in the two months. A month ago, Nissan's director of EV sales and marketing, Toby Perry, said he expected to see the Leaf's sales momentum continue into March. It wasn't a big leap, since January and February were slow sales months in 2013 (around 640 each) before a big climb to 2,200 in March. In 2014, the first two months of the year were better (around 1,300 each) but Nissan can still be happy that the Leaf just had the best March ever and its second-highest sales month ever, with 2,507 sold. That's a 12.1 percent increase from 2013 and Perry said in a statement to AutoblogGreen that one reason is all of the buyers who are becoming evangelists for the vehicle. "We've also seen an increase in showroom traffic as we enhanced our marketing presence in March," he said. Nissan pointed to cities like Washington, DC, Raleigh-Durham, NC and urban areas in Texas as strong Leaf markets last month. On the Chevy Volt front, January and February were also slow months in 2014, down roughly half from the 2,000-ish the plug-in hybrid was selling at the end of 2013. For 2014, sales were up slightly from the first two months of the year and Chevy spokesman Randy Fox told AutoblogGreen that the March number was "pretty flat, year-over-year." Even with that warning, we were surprised to see the total come in at 1,478. Why's that? Because the total for March 2013 was ... 1,478. So, yeah, that's pretty steady even if there were 26 selling days in March period this year compared to 27 last year. As always, our more complete report of last month's green car sales will be coming soon. News Source: General Motors, Nissan Green Chevrolet GM Nissan Electric Hybrid PHEV ev sales
CNG Chevy Impala launch delay grows to a year
Fri, Jun 12 2015The 2015 Chevrolet Impala Bi-Fuel was announced in Washington D.C. in late 2013 by Dan Akerson and was supposed to be on sale by the summer of 2014. Capable of running on gasoline and compressed natural gas, the sedan was said to offer a novel solution at a time when gas prices were high. The vehicles still haven't arrived at dealers, though, and according to Automotive News, a quality issue has set back the launch even a few months more. Using a modified 3.6-liter V6 with hardened valves and valve seats, the Bi-Fuel Impala has separate tanks for gasoline and CNG that it can switch between on the fly. When running on the cheaper natural gas, the sedan was estimated to get 19 miles per gallon in the city and offer 150 miles of range, and the total driving distance was predicted at around 500 miles. The base price was set at $38,210, after the $825 destination charge. The only other major tradeoff was a smaller trunk to accommodate the extra fuel. However, the first shipments of the bi-fuel models now aren't expected until mid-July – about a year later than the scheduled launch. A memo to dealers obtained by Automotive News said the sedan "has been delayed by a second quality hold" to look at the CNG system. The exact details surrounding this problem haven't been released. "We have identified a solution to the delay and are working hard to implement it within the next few months," General Motors spokesperson Chad Lyons said to Automotive News. Around 200 Bi-Fuel Impalas have been made, but none are yet in the hands of customers. Dealers should be able to order 2016 model year examples starting in the third quarter of this year.
