Up for auction is one nice 1966 Chevy Impala.
This Little Impala Runs, and drives like new. The speedo shows 53,283 miles. The original 283 engine stars easy, runs smooth, and sounds good with it's new 2" ex-host, with Thrush mufflers. The power glide transmission also works as it should, and shifts nice. This car is a pleasure to drive with it power steering, and smooth ride. The car has no squeaks or radials. New base coat, clear coat, paint has been added, in a custom Bronze, over a very nice original body, that had only a few small dings. No damage ever. (This color fits the car well.) Also new door & trunk rubbers were installed, and also an new trunk mat. The original dash also has new paint in black, and a new disk player. Everything on the car works as it should, the only thing that is no working is the clock. New Cragar wheels with new BF Goodrich T/A radials, give the car that nostalgic look. (This car shows very well.) The interior has its original seats with new door panels, headliner, and carpeting. The bumpers do have a couple of dings, and could use a replace to be perfect. (Look at pictures closely) The doors have no sag, and open & shut nicely. I'm listing this Impala for a friend that would like to see it go to a good home. He just never drives it. The car has no issues, and will make someone a great driver. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end, and in anyway we can. 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Beauty-Roll
Tue, Nov 10 2015For those of you paying attention, we've really ramped up the old Autoblog video game these days. Our new series Car Club USA joins Translogic and The List, and there are more Daily Drivers and Short Cuts than ever. But sometimes, all you care about is the car. The Autoblog Beauty-Roll video series has one goal: bring you glossy video images of cars, and nothing but. We're collecting moving pictures of all the cars we test, inside and out. Each episode comes with a hit of engine sound – start-up and with a few revs – to round out the package. Set your resolution to max, kick it into full-screen, turn up the sound, and enjoy today's subject, the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Oh, and if you'd like more Beauty-Roll, click here to see the back catalog.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
Watch a 2015 Corvette Z06 run the quarter in 11.7 seconds
Sun, Dec 28 2014We're not writing about this because it's an amazing run, we're writing about it because it appears to be the first run. Someone took a 2015 Corvette Z06 to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas and blasted it down through the quarter mile. It's still wearing the dealer number in wax pen on the windshield and dealer plates, so this example is fresh from the mold. It's also a seven-speed manual. General Motors said the row-your-own Z06 can do the 'strip in 11.2 seconds, and they undoubtedly had a professional driver and more than one run to set that time. To have Just Some Guy show up at the raceway and do an 11.7 at 120.54 mph on his first run means we expect good things to come as Z06s get delivered to their owners. Check out the run in the video.
