This van is in great shape. I inherited it from my father, who passed away in 2009 at age 90. It has been driven very little in the last 15 years and was garaged most of it's life. My father bought it in 1994 when it was two years old and had 21,221 miles on it. My father had it professionally tuned & serviced while he owned it.

NOTE: NADA RETAIL BOOK PRICE IS $6,100.00 FOR A STOCK VAN WITHOUT THE CUSTOM CONVERSION OR ADDING THE LOW MILEAGE VALUE.

To look up the NADA price, go to htt*://ww*.nadaguides.com and click on the Classic Cars tab. The $6,100 retail price does cover the value of the expensive conversion option.

Recent lube, oil and filter service at dealer.

Clear Washington State title. No wrecks. No rebuilds.

Recent professional detailing at dealer - inside, outside & under hood.

This van has been driven very little in the last 15 years.

Check out the AutoCheck score (free link is in this ad) or run a Car Fax report. The van scored a 48 on AutoCheck, which compares to scores in the range of 22 to 41 for similar vans. It is a two owner van.

This van has never been wrecked and, with a Clean Title, there are no paperwork problems. I can supply a receipt to show that the transmission was recently completely rebuilt.
The transmission has 5,503 miles on a complete rebuild. Transmission rebuild cost was $1,287.01.

The motor runs great and, with the overdrive transmission, gets very good gas mileage. It drives great, with the custom seats, is very comfortable to drive on ride in.

The battery and muffler are recently new. The front brakes were recently rebuilt.

The back bench seat folds flat to make a bed. It appears to be queen size.

The overhead switches turn on strip light and overhead lights. With the wood strips, the lights look very, very good at night.

All the upholstery is in excellent shape. Clean inside and out. Recent complete professional detail at a new car dealership.

There are no dents. There are a few cracks in the fiberglass trim (running boards and windshield cover), which could be easily fixed.

Note that the side door is a quality double "French Opening" style that opens and closes like the front doors. They did not use a low price, low quality sliding door for this side door.

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

Fri, 31 May 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
