This is a really nice car. When it was purchased a few years ago it was picked up from the body/paint shop with new paint. I don't know a lot of history before we purchased it but the engine was redone and it has a Edelbrock highrise intake manifold and tuned headers. It has new Indy 500 Firehawk tires. It also has a performance distributor and mild cam/isky. It has the T-tops as well. Runs really nice! As I said the interior and exterior are in really good condition. There are no tears in the original leather seats and only minor scratches/blemishes on the exterior with the exception of what was noted in the condition description. It has a Alpine CD receiver. It does have an air conditioner but not blowing cold air. I don't think it would be difficult to get it working. The car was purchased a few years ago by my dad (an avid corvette collector for 50 plus years) for an anniversary present to my mother. He is since in a wheelchair so they just can't enjoy it as originally planned. I recently had it detailed and it is a pretty car and shines up nicely! Serious buyers only please. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
