Selling my 1969 Corvette 427 4 speed all matching numbers! This is an L36 model with the 427/390 hp. This car has
power steering and power brakes both which work flawless. Tilt/telescopic wheel and POSI rear. Entire brake system
was redone with new caliper, rotors, pads, and lines.
The block and heads are original. Bored .40 over, new pistons, connecting rods, polished crank, new bearings, double roller timing chain, oil pump, heads were ported polished and 3 angle valve job, double springs, COMP CAM 284 which sounds awesome through the factory side pipes!
One year 1969 option and they are in great shape and you can hear it from down the block.

While the engine was out all wiring was sorted through, a new clutch was also installed, flywheel and
throwout bearing and motor mounts. Muncie m20 Transmission seals replaced and gone through. This engine is better
than when it left the factory and still retains all the original numbers. I did fit a Holley 4 barrel for more
power and an electronic HEI system. A new radiator was also installed. The entire vacuum system was replaced
including completely new headlight assemblies, new actuators, new valves, relays, lines, switches, wiper actuator,
relay, and valves too. The entire vacuum system works and is brand new! The dash was removed and wiring sorted
through. At this time I was able to verify that there is no rust through out the bird cage, on any pillars, or
behind the dash. There is also no rust on the frame. Suspension has new sway bar end links and worn bushings were
replaced. A brand new battery was also installed. Paint is in good drivers shape with a few blemishes as can be
expected. T-tops in good shape as well as all glass. Seats were redone a few years ago and are in good shape with
no rips or tears. All gauges work except the clock. All lights work. Car is in great shape and ready to road trip
anywhere. Lots of power and very reliable considering everything is brand new.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
