THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT BY A CORVAIR SPECIALIST IN OKLAHOMA, AND HAS VERY LITTLE MILEAGE ON IT--RUNS GREAT.
THE BRAKE PEDAL IS HIGH AND FIRM. IT APPEARS TO EVEN HAVE THE ORIGINAL DELCO DRUMS ON IT.
THE TIRES ARE NEW RADIALS. BATTERY IS FAIRLY NEW. FRONT SEATS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO HIGH BACK POWER LEATHER BUCKETS.
PAINT IS DRIVER QUALITY DUE TO SUN FADE ON TOP OF HOOD, ROOF, AND TRUNK. BODY IS ALL ORIGINAL AND VERY STRAIGHT. NO EVIDENCE OF ANY PRIOR BODY WORK OTHER THAN ONE REPAINT. IF YOU INVEST IN A GOOD QUALITY PAINT JOB YOU CAN HAVE A SHOW CAR. YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RUST REPAIR BLEEDING THROUGH!
INTERIOR COULD USE NEW DOOR PANELS (READILY AVAILABLE FROM CLARK'S CORVAIR PARTS) AND TOP OF REAR SEAT BACK. WINDSHIELD HAS A CRACK IN IT.
WHY START WITH A RUSTY CAR THAT NEEDS SURGERY? THIS IS A SOLID, INEXPENSIVE WAY TO GET INTO A NICE CLASSIC CAR.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.

Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
