The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Mint interior. Strictly cosmetic damage sustained on the exterior when the car hit a deer and I had to replace the front bumper, hood, driver's side fender and headlight. Primed and ready to be painted. Door still has a few small dents on it and a scuff but a used door at a junkyard would be very cheap for this model car and easy to replace, if the buyer even thinks it's necessary."

I am selling my 2008 Chevy Cobalt LS. I have owned it since it had 45,000 miles. I am the second owner and I personally know the first owner so I know it was well serviced and cared for, even before me.

It has only been my daily driver, never beaten, or abused.

It runs excellent with ZERO issues.

Gets great gas mileage and is very reliable!

Since I've owned it i have done a few minor modifications, such as:
17 konig unknown wheels with Cooper RS3a tires
LED tail lights and debaged exterior
Full stainless steel exhaust (GM performance exhaust/Power coated headers with mid pipe, high flow cat)
Slotted front rotors with EBC greenstuff pads
Eibach (sport line) lowering springs
GM performance short ram intake
I also put carbon fiber trim inside and swapped the interior with black SS panels with leather seats, and also has the SS 140mph gauge cluster that lights up red with custom carbon fiber overlay and has leather steering wheel with carbon overlay as well.

Finally, it has been re-tuned (TRIFECTA) for optimum sufficiency for good gas mileage and performance.

Also comes with (uninstalled) brand newTTR poly engine and trans mounts, (uninstalled) strut and sway bars, and 2 of the 15" steelie wheels with tires. I will also throw in a lowrise spoiler which came from a silver Cobalt but if you prefer the lowrise wing look, you can simply paint it and install it.

I had hit a deer at low speeds that caused the headlight to crack, front bumper to mis-shapen, and the fender, hood and some spots of the door to dent and scuff.

HOWEVER I have replaced everything except the door. I did not get to paint the panels so the hood and fender are primered and ready to paint and the front bumper is black poly urethane.
The cosmetic damage was the only minor damage sustained from hitting the deer. NO FRAME DAMAGE! Absolutely nothing but cosmetic panel damage, which like I mentioned before, has been replaced with the exception of the door.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask ANY question or request more pictures. Also, if you are interested in buying, please contact me and we will further discuss the method of shipping or pickup of the vehicle that will work out best for both of us. Thank you :)

2022 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon get updated transmission

Sat, Dec 25 2021

General Motors' full-sized SUVs have slipped in one more change before the year turns. GM Authority reports that the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, and the 2022 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL equipped with gas V8 engines, will pick up a revised ten-speed automatic transmission. The new unit carries RPO code MHS, and Chevrolet communications rep Catherine Scales told GMA the updated gearbox "allows our manufacturing and dealer teams to more easily align the specific calibration needed for the transmission and can enable OTA updates in the future." It seems GM wants to make it easier to update the transmission's tuning and calibration in the future with the automaker's networked Vehicle Intelligence Platform/Global B electronic architecture. The 10-speed auto comes bolted to the 5.3-liter V8 and the 6.2-liter V8. The 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax diesel continues with the 10-speed automatic already in use. To recap the other changes for the full-sizers, we'll start with the 2022 Tahoe and Suburban, which get a new 12.3-inch digital instrument display to replace the former 8-inch unit and physical gauges. Navigation will be standard equipment displayed on the 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen on all trims barring the base LS. Lane-keeping assist and parking sensors are also now standard, while reverse automatic braking is added to the Enhanced Display and Alert package on the top trims. Finally, the 6.2-liter V8 option is expanded to the Z71, RST and Premier trim levels, but it requires selecting one or more packages on the Z71 and RST. Moving onto the 2022 Yukon, availability of the 6.2-liter V8 expands to the AT4 trim, and the big V8 comes with a shiny pair of exhaust finishers. Redwood Metallic paint joins the exterior color palette, more wheel options are on offer, and illuminated sill plates can gussy up the rocker panels . An Enhanced Trailering Technology Package adds 13 cameras with the option for an interior accessory camera for those with enclosed haulers. On the safety side, expect reverse automatic braking to join the list of available driver assistance features. Inside, the Yukon welcomes the 12.3-inch digital cluster, the Yukon Denali welcomes the power sliding console as a standard feature instead of a $350 option.  Related Video:

Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024

Tue, Jan 23 2024

What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions.    Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
