Up for bids, "NO RESERVE" the highest bidder will own the car, 1968 Chevy Chevelle Malibu 2 door sport coupe originally "cordovan maroon" with the black interior. The car comes with a clear Delaware title. The car had been sitting in a garage since the late 90's. The odometer reads i think 89k. This is a non running restoration project car. The car has a lot of rust issues in the floors, fenders, doors, 1/4 panels etc. ***The car is sold as is*** the extra misc. parts in the trunk do go with the car. the small block V8 i think is a 400 with the 2bbl. carb. condition unknown, automatic transmission is still in the car, condition unknown. The rear is a 10 bolt with old school "ladder bars" the car has four wheel drum brakes too. The glass looks to all be in decent shape, The cars body etc. is mostly complete less some parts under the hood, radiator etc.The cars grill is actually in very nice condition, The car comes with one extra rear bumper too and one set of keys, the car rolls easy, i can assist in loading it up on your car trailer. Tires seem to be holding air now. If you have any questions please ask, I'm not a knowledgeable Chevelle guy but i will try to answer any questions you may have.

Buyer is responsible for picking up or arranging shipping of the car.
The car is sold as is where is.
Your winning bid is not an invitation to just come look at the car.
A $100 deposit through Paypal is due within 2 days of auctions end.
Balance is due in cash at the time of pickup.
I would like the car picked up within 10 days of auctions end, if you need more time we can discuss.

Surprise! GM putting aluminum in next-gen pickups

Wed, Aug 5 2015

Last month, General Motors launched a series of ads touting the benefits of steel over aluminum – specifically, with regard to the Chevy Silverado versus the Ford F-150. (Kind of. We're not sure what a grizzly bear has to do with anything.) We took issue with the ads, with editor in chief Mike Austin saying they "reek of insecurity, and distract from the Silverado's strengths that could be used for positive advertising." But what bothers us more, is that yet another report surfaced claiming anti-aluminum GM will indeed use the weight-saving material in its next-generation fullsize trucks. On Tuesday, GM announced a $877-million investment for its truck plant in Flint, MI. But Reuters says that huge overhaul is because the trucks will use "substantially different equipment than the tools GM uses today." The report specifically states, "People familiar with the company's plans say GM's next-generation pickups and SUVs will make use of various materials, including aluminum and lightweight steel, to shed weight and gain fuel efficiency to meet tougher federal standards." The Silverado already uses a few aluminum components in the engine and hood, and if more widespread use will help GM build its best fullsize trucks ever, then that's great. Honestly, we have no reason to doubt that aluminum will be used in the next Silverado and GMC Sierra. We just hope GM remembers that nothing is ever truly deleted from the bowels of the Internet when it launches the subsequent "look how great aluminum is!" campaign. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
