THIS IS VERY COOL PROJECT! Barn fresh 58,000 mile car. NO Engine, NO Transmission (Taken out long ago). 4 Door Hard Top. LOADED with RARE OPTIONS. Was 396/auto. A/C, PS, PW, 12 bolt rear, RARE Complete Hideaway lights, Strato-lounger bench seat, bumper guards, shaded windshield, original BBC Harrison radiator and shroud, original radio, original jack, original floor mats, original owners manual and protecto plate show first placed in service in L.A. California 10/67. Look at the pictures of the excellent floor pans, frame and rockers, 1 rust through area in trunk, doors open and close perfectly, no rust through doors, no rust through straight hood, no rust through at base of windshield, Typical but small rust through in quarters and front fenders and a few dents, nice glass, nice Caprice body line trim (missing front fender trim). All interior buttons for side panels and seats are included(blue). Missing arm rests, one kick panel and a few other things. Left hideaway light moves manually, Right is sticking and I have not monkeyed with it. THIS IS A PROJECT but it could be an awesome car when complete. I have described the car as best I can. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow
Thu, 14 Feb 2013After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
