I am selling my 1967 Camaro BODY........NO engine and NO transmission.

This Camaro will need replacement panels, an engine and transmission, and complete restoration.

There are a few companies on ebay that are selling awesome metal combo kits for a fair price.

VIN: 124377Lxxxxxx   Last owner was from New Mexico.

It was originally equipped with a v8 (not sure what size) and a manual 3 speed (M15 or M13, RPO M11) with floor shifter (2B on cowl tag). Both long gone.

Mileage on odometer is 79255.

Built in Van Nuys, California. code K298. (3rd week in May code 05C).

It originally had a black standard interior with bucket seats (code 760) with custom bucket trim (code Z).

Color was originally Capri Cream (like white) with a Black vinyl top (code T-2). It looks like it's been painted many colors since then.

It had tinted windows (all) code E.

Interior Decor code Z23 and Style Trim Group code Z21, from what I have read, is the wide chrome on the exterior window sills and the interior vertical pillars to the left and right of the windshield instead of colored ones as well as the chrome on the rocker panels. None is present so I'm not 100% sure.

The good:

I have a clear Texas title in my name.

It has solid floors with no holes, a solid roof, and a solid cowl/firewall.

The trunk floor is solid with no holes that I could find.

All the glass is there, but the windshield is cracked and the rear window is not installed (just resting on the car).

Has seats...or what is left of them.

Dash is mostly complete.

Rear end is the original (as far as I can tell and have decoded) 10 bolt with 3:08 gears.

The bad:

The body does need attention. There appears to be a bit of bondo slapped on both sides. Be prepared to buy replacement panels.

The car is dirty inside since I haven't had time to clean it up. It's dusty down here in southwest Texas.

The stock transmission tunnel shifter hole in the floor has been cut up a little bit....not sure why.

The rear panel does have rot as pictured, and the area below the rear window has rust issues (window was not attached to the car).

I removed the door lock cylinders since I have no keys for this Camaro.

I am not sure if the brakes are working. Has original drum brakes all around.

I will miss this Camaro, but I have too many cars to finish and can't stand seeing it sitting there. I hope it finds a good home.

The wheels in the picture will not go with the Camaro...I have rollers that will be put on it.

The other vehicles in the pictures are NOT for sale.

I know of a shipper that isn't too expensive. The Camaro can be stored for as long as needed, but it will cost $20 per month to store it where it is. That's what I pay, per vehicle, to store my cars at this location.

I have the right to end the auction early as this Camaro is for sale locally. Please message me first if you have 0-10 feedback.

I only accept cash in hand, paypal, or cashiers check. Once the check clears, the title will be mailed to specified address.

A $200.00 non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours after the auction ends. I prefer Paypal.

Chevy Spark EV could be coming to Midwest later this year

Tue, Jun 10 2014

Ohio is not known as a hotbed of EV sales – if anything, the state is a bit anti-EV, thanks to a legislative fight against Tesla's direct sales model – but it might be on Chevrolet's short list to expand the market for the Spark EV in the near future. The latest official GM press release on the battery-powered Spark still says the car is "available exclusively in California and Oregon," but Hybrid Cars found four Ohio dealerships that list a Spark EV on their websites, with hints the the car will be coming to the Midwest state by the end of the summer. See, for example, here, here, here and here. But that's probably not going to happen, according to Randy Fox, GM communication's manager for passenger cars. Fox told AutoblogGreen that, "At this point in time, we don't have any official plans to expand the Spark EV beyond California and Oregon." The reason is that California and Oregon have the infrastructure to support EVs, Fox said, and GM wants to be able to support its EV customers. "We are continuing to look at other options," he said. "The selling point for electric cars today is not advertising, it's eyeballs, it's peer exposure" – John O'Dell John O'Dell, a senior editor at Edmunds.com, told AutoblogGreen that, "It makes sense for [GM] to expand sales and it makes sense to do it in a quiet manner, to get these vehicles on the road. The selling point for electric cars today is not advertising, it's eyeballs, it's peer exposure. If someone in my neighborhood has one and he likes it, then maybe I can trust him. So it's important to get these vehicles on the road." Chevy sold 182 Spark EVs last month, a significant increase over the 98 sold in April. That's still small potatoes compared to the 3,000+ Nissan Leaf EVs sold last month, but making the electric Spark available in Ohio, say, or GM's home state of Michigan could boost those numbers. AutoblogGreen called a few dealerships in Michigan to see what they had heard. One salesman said he didn't think GM had started production yet but the inventory manager for another dealership said the Spark EV is scheduled to arrive in the Midwest in "roughly the fourth quarter." What would GM's incentive be to offer the car in markets outside of California where it can gain ZEV credits with each sale?

The cars and trucks of 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts'

Wed, Jun 7 2023

The latest spectacle in the Transformers franchise is about to hit the theaters. The final trailer was released, giving us peeks at what appears to be a pretty boilerplate story about the end of the world. There's some kind of ancient interplanetary war brewing and it's up to some teenagers to sort it out with the help of their robot buddies. But this is Autoblog, so we're not even going to try to suss out a plot so thin it won't hold a spittle globule's worth of water. We'll just go over the cars. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts | Official Final Trailer (2023 Movie) Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8: Mirage So far the star of the film, car-wise, looks to be a blue-on-silver 964 Porsche named Mirage that is voiced by Pete Davidson. It's been the most promoted of the movie cars, even more so than formerly central characters like Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Except, this isn't just any ordinary 911; it's a Carrera RS 3.8, a European-exclusive model of which Porsche only built 55 units. As the name implies, it came with a bored-out M64 turbo flat-six as opposed to the 964 Turbo's 3.6. It wore the Turbo's wide-body badonk with a bi-level rear wing, but Porsche reportedly stripped out 570 pounds' worth of weight despite embiggening key performance parts like brakes and wheels. Fortunately, no actual RS 3.8s were used in the movie. Producers instead built five cars for different purposes — shooting closeups of actors, jumps, the obligatory driving backwards real fast — out of lesser 911s. However, the sound department did record the engine note of an actual RS 3.8 for accuracy, as the higher crank speeds of the 3.8 have a distinctive sound.  In the original 1984 Transformers lineup Mirage was a Ligier JS11 Formula 1 car, complete with faux Gitanes cigarette branding (on a children's toy!). An F1 racer would raise an eyebrow on the streets, so it made sense to update to a street-legal sports car. If you're wondering why this Porsche isn't the character Jazz, whose original vehicle mode was an ultra-cool Martini-liveried Porsche 935, well, he was remade into a Pontiac Solstice voiced by Darius McCrary during the GM product placement rewrite in 2007's Transformers reboot, then unceremoniously killed. 1977 Chevrolet Camaro: Bumblebee Formerly the franchise star, Bumblebee gets far less screen time in the trailers. He's still a Camaro, but because Transformers: Rise of the Beasts takes place in 1994 he's not a fith-gen.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
