Up for sale is a nice, complete and original 1971 Chevy C-10 Cheyenne with factory A/C and power steering.  The odometer shows 88,412, do not know for sure if this is actual or not.  This C-10 runs and drives and has the original 350 V8 backed by a TH350 automatic transmission.  The engine runs pretty good, but could probably use a tune up.   The engine does not smoke and has pretty good oil pressure, (25psi idle and 35-40psi driving down the road warmed up).  The transmission works but 3rd gear is weak, (does not shift solid from 2nd to 3rd and will slip a little bit in 3rd but it is still drivable).  It has coil spring suspension on all four corners with factory heavy springs.  The brakes work as they should.  The Interior is in pretty good shape and everything is original.  The seat has some cracks in the vinyl, and the driver side door panel has a tear in it by the window crank.  The heater works good.  Everything is intact for the A/C.  The compressor is not locked up, but will need a belt and charged at the very least.  All of the glass is good minus a couple rock chips in the windshield.  The body of the truck is in good shape for never being touched, (never been repainted, and can not find any signs of body work being done anywhere on the truck).  It does have some typical rust and a few small dings.  There is no rust on the doors inside or out, and no rust above the windshield.  There is rust in the rocker panels, cab corners, cab supports, cab floor (not to bad), front fenders, tailgate, and bed floor.  As far as dents go, the grille has a few dings, the front bumper is pushed in a little in the middle, the driver side front fender has two small dings, the passenger side bedside has a scrape but is not too bad, and the tailgate has a couple small dings.  Overall it is a nice original truck that does need some tlc.

This truck has a clean and clear Kansas antique title.  I have tried to get the best pictures and describe this truck accurately the best I can.  If you would like to come see this truck in person just let me know and we can make arrangements to do so.  Payment will be cash in person unless other arrangements are made prior to sale.  If you have any questions about the truck feel free to ask.  I could possibly deliver the truck to you for $1.00 a mile one-way within 300 miles.  Otherwise, you are responsible for picking it up.  This truck is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end listing at any time.  This truck is being sold as-is, no warranty.  Please feel free to make an offer the worst I could say is no.  Thanks for looking.

Man spent $75 on a truck that lasted 38 years

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Absurd as it is, some buyers today are worried about getting their car to last throughout the term of their seven-year car loan. Minnesota resident Bob Sportel has the opposite issue: his Chevrolet truck seemingly won't die. Sportel needed a cheap ride to get to work when he took a job at a farmer's co-op 38 years ago, so he bought a rusty 1957 Chevy pickup for $75 from a farmer; at the time, the 20-year-old truck was almost as old as Bob was. After nearly four decades of daily driving and an estimated 300,000 miles, Sportel is still driving the truck today. Bolts secure a fender, Bondo secures the lights, what looks like a whole roll of duct tape keeps him sitting on the bench seat instead of in it. For a 58-year-old pickup that's never seen a garage or a new coat of paint – but did get its oil changed four times a year – that's not bad; Sportel thinks his repair bill hasn't got above $1,000 for the entire time he's owned the truck. He still has no plans to get rid of it, saying, "It just becomes a part of you." You can watch his story in the video above. News Source: KARE11.com Chevrolet Truck Classics Videos

Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. If you have some time this afternoon, be sure to check it out the Corvette colorizer for yourself, and even if you don't have the time, we've put together a gallery with all of the possible color combinations.
