Here it is. A recent ground up restoration with only 1,200 miles. The truck is flawless with so much to list. Needs nothing. I am selling the truck to buy a boat. Here are some details on the truck.
Big block chevy 427 with a TH350 automatic, new power steering, new power brake booster and new master cylinder with new brake lines, new power window mechanisms, new vintage air & heat, new radiator and cooling fan, power drivers seat. New Edelbrock Carb and Intake, New MSD wires, Accell Ignition, all new guages, new banjo steering wheel, new line lock, 2008 Denali seats and console, new alpine stereo with CD player in dash. Awesome big tube headers and new Flowmaster exhaust mufflers. Rear end is a 12 bolt posi, unsure of gears, but pretty tall with new billet QA1 coil overs. New interior, including carpet, door panels, dash paint. The truck also has a new complete wire harness and fuse block. It also has a new steering column and steering box. Like I said...the truck needs nothing! Paint is almost a 10. Tuxedo black with white accent stripes. Stainless is in fantastic shape, with a few minor dings that could easily be shaped out. One small imperfection on the hood when they painted it, other than that it's a 10. It also has a new 24 gallon aluminum fuel tank mounted in front of the rear bumper. New bed with new stainless runners. New bumpers and brackets front and rear. New disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. Foose wheels...all new. Tires are 225/50X18 up front on 15x9.5s and 275/35x20 in the rear on 20 x 10.5. Also, all new grill and headlight bezels. New headlights and tail lights, along with new front blinker lenses. New Lokar side mirrors. There is just so much to list. I encourage anyone to come and see the truck and drive it. Smoothed firewall, new battery, etc., etc., etc. Way too much to list. Please only serious bidders. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. We reserve the right to end this auction early, as the vehicle is for sale locally. No warranties are implied or available for this vehicle. If you have zero feedback, please contact me directly, as I will not accept offers unless discussed prior. Sorry, too many tire kickers on eBay. |

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
Texas cops pull armed suspect from burning car
Fri, Jul 29 2016A high-speed chase through Fort Worth, Texas ended in dramatic fashion earlier this month when FWPD pulled armed burglary suspects from the burning wreckage of their escape vehicle. According to NBC DFW, Fort Worth police were dispatched to Avington Way on the evening of July 16 to investigate reports of a burglary. The burglary victim told police he had arrived home to find three individuals hauling his property out of his house. When he approached them, one of the suspects pointed a handgun at him and told him to stay back. Then all three suspects climbed into a silver Dodge Avenger and sped away. FWPD officers spotted the Avenger a short time later on Sycamore School Road and, after the car refused to pull over, the chase was on. Police chased the burglary suspects through the city at speeds approaching 100 mph until the Avenger blew a red light and was t-boned by an oncoming pickup at the intersection of California Parkway and James Avenue. As the pursuing officers closed in on the disabled car, it suddenly caught fire. One suspect bailed out and ran for it, but the remaining two were trapped inside with the flames quickly mounting. Despite the spreading fire and the threat of armed suspects in the vehicle, police officers rushed to pull the men from the wreck. The driver was removed easily, but the passenger was unconscious and trapped behind a crushed passenger door. The scene was caught on the officers' body cameras as they pried the door open with their bare hands. Eventually the officers got the semi-conscious man out of the passenger seat just as the car was completely engulfed in flames. "It was pretty dramatic. We recruit people that can think on the fly, think quickly, and perform under pressure," FWPD Sergeant Marc Povero told WFAA. All three suspects are facing charges for burglary, and the driver was charged with evading arrest. '84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia
Fri, Jan 16 2015These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models.
