this thing is a daily, its fun, powerful, easy to drive and very updated to make it something that you can just get into and drive anywhere, i drive it good distances all of the time, to baltimore and back and to philli and back. i wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere really. fun as heck to drive and plenty of power, even at 70mph if you stomp the gas it gets up and boogies althought i never get it over 85mph, at least until i would upgrade the suspension and steering. please read the entire description.

just plain cool stuff

-shaved the trim, frenched the headlights, 2 frenched antenna holes

the only downsides to the car are minimal
-the digital fuel gauge doesnt work, the sender in the tank must be bad
-the digital temp gauge isnt hooked up, the old school one is still hooked up and works fine. i just cant find the damned brass fitting anywhere adapt from the temp hole to the sender which i do have and is wired and ready to go just need that damned 4.00 adapter i cant seem to find anywhere
-someone stole the back rim after i had a blowout so the back tires dont match but both are bias plys. one rally wheel and one steel wheel.
-theres a tear at the seam in the top passenger side of the seat where the mexican blanket started to unweave. not  huge deal i put clear nail polish to keep it from unraveling further.

this isnt a trailer queen. its a driver. it got little nicks and dings on it. the stainless isnt perfect and polished to a mirror shine. its a driver and does a great job at being fun and eye catching. the only thing i really planned on changing was setting up the car for air ride and slamming it out. for now it has 4" drop blocks in the rear made out of 1/4 steel box tubing and heated front springs. any question text is preferred

Hoons off-road in a lowrider Monte Carlo in latest Roadkill video

Wed, May 6 2015

Specialization keeps the automotive world interesting because it creates all sorts of fun niches. For example, if you like hot rods, you can dive deep into the world of rat rods or just focus on cars with a more traditional look. In some cases the myriad styles don't mix very well, of course, and the folks at Roadkill are proving that on video by attempting to take a lowrider Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on dirt. As you might expect, forcing a lowrider off-road doesn't go well, but the stunt makes for a great chronicle of dumb, automotive fun. Other than some repairs to get the Monte Carlo roadworthy, the only modification here is a set of knobby tires to achieve at least a modicum of traction on the loose rocks. Although, no matter what they do, at the even lowest speeds the hosts inside are still bounced around like they're in an inflatable castle at a kid's birthday party. Still, the guys are clearly amused by it all.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
