YOU ARE LOOKING AT A NICE CAR. iM THE SECOND OWNER . I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY WIFE AND SHE WANTED A WAGON SO IT MUST GO SO I CAN DO AS IM TOLD AND GET THE WAGON. THIS CAR RIDES AND RUNS SO NICE. THE STRONG V-8 ENGINE HAS SO MUCH POWER. THE AUTOMATIC TRANNY SHIFTS SMOOTH WITH NO PROBLEMS. IT HAS SOMETHING I NEVER SEEN BEFORE. IT HAS HEATED AND COOLED FRONT AND REAR SEATS. THE STEERING WHEEL IS EVEN HEATED. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS JUST LIKE IT IS SUPOSED TO. I JUST HAD THE CAR DETAILED SO THERE ARE NO STAINS OR RIPS ANYWHERE. THE BACK SEAT HAS HARDLY HAD ANYONE BACK THERE. THE ONLY THING WRONG ON THE INSIDE IS THE PLASTIC PEICE THAT GOES AROUND THE DRIVER SEAT HAS A CRACK IN IT. I CHECKED WITH THE DEALER AND YOU CAN FIX IT OR SHOULD I SAY REPLACE IT FOR $131.00. IT NEVER BOTHERD ME SO I JUST LEFT IT ALONE. THE A/C IS ICE COLD AND WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD. THE OUTSIDE LOOKS REAL NICE AND SHINEY. THERE IS A LITTLE DING ON THE LEFT FRONT FENDER THAT THE DENT DOCTOR FIXED AND YOU CAN BARLY TELL IT. THE FRONT BUMPER HAS A FEW LITTLE CHIPS FROM ROAD RASH BUT AS YOU CAN SEE IT LOOKS LIKE A NEW ONE. THE TIRES ARE LIKE NEW. YOU WILL NOT BELEIVE THE SHAPE THIS CAR IS IN. IT IS STILL BASICLY NEW. IF YOU WANT TO FLY IN TO ASHEVILLE NC AIRPORT I WILL PICK YOU UP AND YOU CAN DRIVE IT HOME. OR IF YOU CHOOSE TO SHIP THE CAR I WILL ASSIST IN EVERYWAY POSSIBLE BUT ITS YOUR EXPENSE. Cadillac is bringing a new concept to Pebble Beach
Mon, Aug 15 2016Cadillac will debut a new concept Thursday in Monterey. The company also released teaser video, but it only shows us a few glimpses of interior parts and a concept drawing that seems to show a very minimalistic dashboard. The big draw appears to be the large screen filling in for instruments and infotainment. According to Cadillac, the screens are curved OLED panels co-developed with LG, and the technology behind them will appear in a future Cadillac. Bringing a new concept to the famous Monterey Car Week is a return to form for Cadillac. In past years the company brought beautiful concepts like the full-size, four-door Ciel convertible, and the taught, athletic Elmiraj coupe. The latter of these showcased designed cues that trickled into production Cadillacs. No word (or pictures) on the exterior yet. We'll be sure to have complete coverage of the concept later this week. Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.
Cadillac picks Publicis as new agency of record, continues cutting ties with Campbell Ewald
Fri, Dec 5 2014Cadillac is setting itself up for major changes in the coming years with its decision to hire Johan de Nysschen as the brand's new boss and moving some of the staff to new digs in the trendy SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. With those two big shifts in place, there's one more on the way with the company's announcement that Publicis Worldwide is now its global creative agency of record, effective immediately. The firm replaces former, long-time General Motors associate Campbell-Ewald; now a portion of Lowe and Partners. "This appointment is designed to accelerate the global expansion and elevation of Cadillac into a truly global luxury brand," said Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus in the company's announcement. "We have spent much of this year refocusing on the core values of our brand." Although, some work may remain at Lowe and Partners for now. According to Cadillac spokesperson David Caldwell via email to Autoblog: "The bulk of work makes this shift. It is possible that maybe a small individual smaller project or two might still be handled by Lowe. Not certain yet." The fruit of this new partnership shouldn't take long to mature, either. "We will have substantially new marketing and brand identity work in early 2015." said Caldwell. According to Ad Age, Cadillac's advertising had been handled by Lowe and Partners, Campbell-Ewald in Detroit (now entirely part of Lowe) and Hill Holiday. Caddy had a relationship with the agency since 2013 but has changed firms several times in 2006. GM had a long collaboration with Campbell-Ewald, though. Chevrolet was its partner for nearly a century until the automaker also jumped to Publicis in 2010. The firm was responsible for campaigns like, "The Heartbeat of America", "Like A Rock" and "An American Revolution." Scroll down to read Cadillac's full announcement of the change. Cadillac Appoints Publicis Worldwide 2014-12-04 DETROIT – Cadillac announced today the appointment of Publicis Worldwide as its global creative agency of record. Publicis Worldwide is the largest creative agency of the Publicis Groupe network and its appointment to Cadillac is effective immediately. A fully dedicated team, comprising key managers from Publicis Worldwide, will lead the account and have access to specialist and premium resources within the larger Publicis Groupe.
