1967 Cadillac Deville Base Convertible 2-door 7.0l on 2040-cars
Katy, Texas, United States
This car is in fairly decent shape for its age. It Runs, drives and meets all inspection requirements (lights, turn signals, brakes, horn, etc...)It has seat covers, but underneath it has white leather seats. the seats are original so the have some wear and tear. the top was replaced by the previous owner so it is in good working condition. The car starts up easy and runs good, transmission shifts well and overall I see no mechanical issues with this car. The underside is rusty. The body is very straight and does not have any dents. I purchased this car in Ohio about 2 years and had it shipped down to Houston. I have put aftermarket 13 inch wire wheels on the car which has lowered the car, I also have the original wheels that came on it with tires. I have an Ohio title for it. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. no reserve, good luck bidding!
On Oct-23-13 at 20:03:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I no longer have the original wheels but I do have the original hub caps and rear tire covers. On Oct-24-13 at 13:22:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I am tired of answering dumb questions about this car.
Yes the car is rusty, it says so in the description.
If you are dumb enough to think you can take a car that is almost 50 years old and selling for around $2300 across the country then you deserve what ever happens or breaks along the way. For this amount of money you are NOT going to get a pristine car. That being said the car runs and drives. It has things that don't work, again the car is almost 50 years old and selling for around $2300.

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Chevy's low-cost pedestrian avoidance to debut on 2016 Malibu
Tue, Jul 28 2015The mainstreaming of safety technologies that began on luxury vehicles will get a big boost from General Motors later this year. The General says it plans to offer 22 driver assistance systems across its product portfolio of 2016 models, starting with the redesigned Chevrolet Malibu - the one that we know will keep tabs on teenagers for the benefit of parents. Pedestrian avoidance will be another of its available options. Instead of kitting the sedan out with numerous and expensive radar arrays, the GM system uses the camera mounted next to the rearview mirror that is already used for the lane-keeping function. New software lets it detect pedestrians, and when it detects a potential collision with one, it can alert the driver and brake autonomously if the driver doesn't react. Eventually, engineers want to give it the ability to do the same with cyclists. Because it uses existing hardware updated with new code, GM says the application costs "a few hundred dollars." GM demonstrated the Front Pedestrian Braking preventing a crash with a dummy pedestrian at speeds up to 15 miles per hour. Automotive News reports that it will reduce the severity of impact up to 40 miles per hour, but "may not be of much use in collisions at higher speeds." That feature will also join the options list of the Cadillac CT6. The press release below has more on GM's driver tech soon on the way. Safety engineers will develop and test these and other safety technologies for products around the world at GM's new, 52-acre Active Safety Test Area at its Milford Proving Ground near Detroit. The $14 million facility officially opened Friday. "Our comprehensive safety strategy of helping customers before, during and after a crash continues," said Jeff Boyer, vice president of GM Global Vehicle Safety.
2014 Cadillac ELR wears a suave suit with Volt underpants
Tue, 15 Jan 2013The Cadillac design and engineering teams were smiling like a bunch of proud papas here in Detroit this morning, as the Wreath and Crest crew pulled the curtain back on their 2014 ELR. The house was packed for the ELR's coming out party, and reaction was enthusiastic amongst the murmuring media, as far as we could gather, while the flashes were firing.
In fact, we think that the sleek styling and aggressive proportions of the Voltec-powered ELR looked even better in the metal than they did in the first official images we saw earlier. Further, the leather-lined interior seems custom made for serious driving, even if the ELR is slightly less than rocket-ship quick.
The new Cadillac makes good use of the basic running gear from the Chevrolet Volt, including the 1.4-liter range-extending gas engine, a 15.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and an electric drive motor that offers 295 pound-feet of torque, and a total system output of 207 horsepower. All-electric range is down by just one mile versus its Chevrolet forebearer, for a total of 35, and Cadillac speculates that the total range with the gasoline generator figured in will top 300 miles.
