Selling my 1976 cadillac convertible,I bought this car from an older gentleman which had it sitting in his garage for the last 15 years,it is originally from Arizona so there is no rust at all, however it has been re-painted in its original color about 20 years ago,I consider it a nice driver quality paint and it gets a lot of thumbs up from everybody that sees it. I invested a lot of money into getting this car back on the road, complete new braking system, pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, stainless steel brake lines, master cylinder, new front and rear shocks, new rear springs, new radiator, new Coker Classic white wall tires, new front wheel bearings, new pitman arm and I also had the sun damaged dashboard removed and re-upholstert,at this point I also had a CD player installed  to replace the cassette radio which was installed sometime in the 80s,the transmission was re-built by the previous owner and has less then 1200 miles on it,I do have the receipt for this.the only thing that is not working on this car as of right now is the cruise control and the A/C.i was really looking forward to cruising this beauty this summer but after spending all this money on it  some scumbag cut the top on it while I had it parked outside my house, the top itself is working fine but the fabric needs to be replaced.i spent all the money I could on this car and I am broke now,so I am selling it and hopefully it will find a good home and somebody who has the resources to replace the top on it and enjoy this great ride. The car runs an drives like a dream! If you have any questions feel free to call/text me at 630 946 7502.     Sold as is,where is! Shipping is the buyers responsibility, I will gladly assist with loading it on to a trailer or truck. I forgot to mention, it also comes with the hard shell parade boot and a custom car cover

Cadillac teases two new V-Series prototypes at the Detroit Grand Prix

Sat, Jun 1 2019

We told you earlier this week that there would be more to come from Cadillac's V-Series of performance vehicles following the introduction of the brand's CT4-V and CT5-V performance sedans. We just didn't expect it to come quite so soon. Cadillac surprised attendees of the 2019 Detroit Grand Prix as two new prototypes took to the track for what we figure must have been demonstration laps in between other official race events. A CT4-based machine wearing funky blue camouflage joined a red-hued CT5-based prototype on the track, with driving duties split between Mark Reuss, president of General Motors, and Ken Morris, vice president of Product. Cadillac CT4 V-Series prototype View 3 Photos Exactly what's powering these prototypes is still a mystery, but we have our suspicions that these two beasts are putting down a lot more power than the 320-horsepower CT4-V and 355-hp CT5-V that underwhelmed enthusiasts earlier this week. We wouldn't be surprised if there was a version of Cadillac's twin-turbo Blackwing V8 engine under the hood of this V-badged CT5 prototype. Cadillac is being coy with further details, saying only that these two vehicles "represent the next step in Cadillac's V-Series performance legacy." So we'll just have to wait for now. But in the meantime, feel free to peruse the images above and speculate in the comments below.

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.

GM says over 40% of new China launches in next five years will be EVs

Wed, Aug 19 2020

SHANGHAI — General Motors is planning an electric car offensive in China with more than 40% of its new launches in the country over the next five years set to be electric vehicles (EVs), the U.S. carmaker said on Wednesday. GM's electric vehicles, many of which will be all-electric battery cars, will be manufactured in China with almost all parts coming from local suppliers, the company said in a statement released at its Tech Day event in Shanghai. Reuters reported earlier on Wednesday that GM was planning to overhaul its Chinese line-up to stem a slide of sales after more than two decades of growth in a country that contributes nearly a fifth of its profit. GM's new China boss Julian Blissett told Reuters that new technologies, such as EVs and cars with near hands-free driving for highways, would play a key role in GM's China initiatives, which are part of a push to get annual sales in the country back to the 4 million peak it hit in 2017. GM did not say in its statement how many new or significantly redesigned models it was planning to launch in China over the next five years. "China will play a crucial role in making our vision a reality," GM CEO Mary Barra said in the statement, referring to its initiative to create what it describes as a future of "zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion" through electrification and smart-driving technologies. GM has said it plans to invest more than $20 billion in electric and automated vehicles globally by 2025. It was not clear how much of that investment will be spent in China.
