Hi!! Up for sale, a Beautiful 1977 Cadillac Sedan DeVille.

Originally a FL car, brought back to NY about 30 yrs. ago. No winters, and 1 owner since, until I acquired it a couple months ago. I have 1 other classic, and its a muscle car. I wanted something like this to just cruise w/ the kids, drive more often than my other car. Something came up, and I will be inheriting another car from a family member, and I don't have space for 5 cars (counting my daily drivers) so, unfortunately I have to part with this great car!!!

Note: I have been selling on EBay for 12 years, many int'l. sales, etc. this is the first car I've listed here. I will do all I can to make it easy for both of us. I will provide contact info at the end of the listing.

Now the car- Its a stunning yellow on yellow, with white full vinyl top car. The paint is original, as is the leather, the rear quarter extensions are replaced, and as always, the paint is somewhat darker then the body. There are a couple touch-ups here and there, none serious, again, its original.

The previous owner re-attached the rear bumper himself, and didn't quite get it to line up right.

The windows are tinted, look pretty nice. The interior is nice also. Good headliner. Nice leather, decent rugs, could use a steam clean, I didn't have time to take it in. The car also has real wire wheels, the center caps do rattle a bit when driving. I have driven it about 15 times, including a 40 mile round trip to work, the car is RELIABLE, runs smoothly down the road nice for a 37+ yr. old car. Starts up, 4-6 pumps on the gas and it goes.

The radio, power windows, lights, etc. work. The door switches for the interior courtesy lights are intermittent, though. The pwr. antenna does not retract the last section.

Even the electric clock works!!

I can be reached Mon.-Fri. 9am to 2pm at 716-866-0114 (ALMOST ANYTIME WEEKENDS) I almost always answer, if not leave a msg. and I WILL get back to you. A $500 deposit is required at the end of the auction. Shipping/ Pick-Up is the responsibility of the buyer. I have it covered with a brand new $85 cover I just bought. I also bought a black dash mat, and floor mats. There are a few cracks in the dash pad and steering wheel from normal shrinkage.

Overall, a nice cruiser that I really don't want to part with, but as I said, another car is coming in a month or so, so I have to let her go. NYS inspected just recently.

Note- the title shows a 30 yr. old lien, I only had a copy of the lien release when I reg. it, and since I was keeping the car I didn't care, but I called the old owner anyway, and he did have the orig. and I have that to go with the car. This applied in NYS, I don't know if it matters in your state. I had no problem registering it, but I was going to send for another title with the lien released, but I don't have time now, you can do this when you register.

Again- any ??? Message me thru EBay or call 716 866 0114. Thanks for looking!!!

2020 Cadillac CT4-V First Drive + Video | The Cadillac of compact Cadillacs

Fri, Jun 5 2020

With the launch of the 2020 Cadillac CT4, GM is pushing back into the smallest luxury sedan segment that in recent years has almost exclusively featured entries from Germany. We're pleased to see it return, and importantly, that it definitely came back prepared. The CT4’s key differentiator is its platform. Unlike the bulk of entry-level luxury sedans currently on the market, the Cadillac rides on a rear-wheel-drive platform. All-wheel drive is available throughout the lineup for those who need (or just want) four-season flexibility, but itÂ’s meant to be a convenience feature rather than a performance upgrade — the same is not true of its front-wheel-drive competitors. The CT4 ostensibly replaces the discontinued ATS, but reality is a bit murkier than that. Stop us if youÂ’ve heard this before, but the Cadillac CT4 is not entirely size-appropriate for the class. While the CT4 is aimed at the subcompact luxury sedan segment (and the CT5 at the compact), itÂ’s dimensionally a bit closer to the likes of the Mercedes C-Class than it is the A-Class. This gives Caddy a bit of an advantage, but itÂ’s nothing we havenÂ’t seen from GMÂ’s luxury arm before. Cadillac has chosen instead to target the segment based on price, which is a win for consumers in a way, as you can get a little bit more bang for your buck if theyÂ’re willing to take a chance on the underdog. Cadillac is offering its new small sedan in three states of tune. The base (“Luxury”) model boasts a 2.0-liter engine good for 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The Premium Luxury and CT4-V models get the 2.7-liter — which is still a four-cylinder — that makes 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque in its base tune and 325 hp and 380 lb-ft in the CT4-V. All three variants make use of GMÂ’s active fuel management tech which allows them to run on just two cylinders to conserve fuel while cruising. Yes, you read that correctly. The CT4-V boasts just 325 hp, which may seem like a pittance considering the outrageously powerful V models of CadillacÂ’s past, but GMÂ’s luxury arm has decided to re-jigger its performance hierarchy by eliminating “V-Sport” entirely, shifting “V” down to fill that role, and introducing a series of new range-topping performance models dubbed “Blackwing.” In that context, the CT4-V may seem like an also-ran, but consider the company it keeps.

2014 Cadillac CTS configurator open for business

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Cadillac has just set the new configurator for the redesigned, 2014 CTS live. While we've already tested out the new CTS, this is our first chance to play with all the interior and exterior color options and to get a fair idea of the price. The new CTS covers a broad swath from the $46,025 base model, with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, to the $59,995 VSport, complete with its brawny, 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6.
It doesn't take much to send the CTS's price up from there, though. Opt for the VSport Premium trim, and the price immediately jumps $10,000. Opting for one of the premium paint colors is all that's needed to nudge the CTS past $70,000. For reference, a 556-horsepower CTS-V (previous-generation, naturally) starts at $64,515.
Click over and have a look at the configurator for yourself.

GM will likely build PHEV batteries in China soon

Wed, Jul 27 2016

It's a big week for batteries. Friday, Tesla will hold a big event at its Gigafactory in Reno, NV. But even in Michigan, there are things happening on the electrified automotive front. This was proven when GM invited journalists to its Brownstown Battery Assembly Plant today, highlighting the six different battery packs it makes for nine vehicles around the world (plus a tenth, coming to Asia, that has not yet been announced). During our tour, we learned a few interesting tidbits that we thought readers would like to hear: The Cadillac CT6 plug-in hybrid launches in China this fall before coming to the US next year. GM builds the battery packs in Michigan and ships them to China for final assembly in the PHEV. For now, this is all fine for GM to qualify for China's incentives for building green cars in the country. But, as Bill Wallace, GM's director of global battery systems, told AutoblogGreen, this could change thanks to the country's 'Made in China 2025' plan. The situation is "evolving," he said, and it's a safe assumption that GM will need to build packs in China some day. For the CT6 PHEVs that will be sold in the US, the batteries will make a round trip, since GM will only build the plug-in version in China. As for the range of the CT6 PHEV, that hasn't been announced, but since China offers incentives for vehicles that get at least 50 kilometers (31 miles), that's a likely target (the US range (UPDATE: GM did announce an expected range for the CT6 PHEV in the US at the LA Auto Show last fall, saying it would "travel approximately 30 miles on a full electric charge"). The battery pack in the CT6 is also a clunky box-type thing, totally unlike the near-elegant T-shape used in the Volt. This despite the fact that the guts of the two packs are similar. Both have 192 li-ion cells and weigh almost the same, but GM tuned the CT6 pack for acceleration instead of range, the way it did with the Volt's pack. Still, the main reason the packs are different is because the CT6 is a rear-wheel drive vehicle, and the tunnel that the Volt's pack uses is occupied by the driveshaft. Despite the highly touted second-gen Chevy Volt going on sale last year, GM still has the capacity to build battery packs for the old, first-gen model. This is because the company is legally required to be able to provide replacement packs for warrantied vehicles (for up to 10 years), and the second-gen packs don't fit into the first-gen vehicles.
